I love this restaurant, I am very familiar with Japanese culture and this is authentic as you can get in baton rouge. Love to sit in the bar and watch them cook, the staff has always been friendly and has treated my family will since we're regulars. The food is amazing a lot of different things to choose from not just ramen, they have a lot of Japanese classics beyond the ramen bowl for appetizers, I would recommend the Takoyaki octopus balls If you want something really interesting Japanese street food, however it does have a hot gooey center so beware of that does cool down pretty quick but that's just how that food is it's amazing though. The other things for appetizers I would recommend highly would be The pork and chicken Gyoza, creamy shrimp tempura, definitely recommend the Okonomiyaki or seafood pancake, I have to say my favorite appetizer would have to be the chicken Karaage. Truthfully I haven't had a single bad thing from this restaurant and I have frequented it for a lot of months I've tried just about everything on the menu and it's always been delicious. For the ramen bowls there's the classic hikari bowl which is has a amazing flavor and if you're sick that broth really feels good. The garlic chicken bowl is amazing, If you want something a bit more spicier the Tonkotsu black, red and Curry ramen bowls is just what you need. You can get them mild or hot but if you're a spice lover you are definitely going to love these. Bold hot flavor and the smell is amazing on these bowls, they all smell good but I do find that these smell amazing a bit more than the others. They have amazing entrees as well besides the noodle bowls if you want to try something else but that's still very much traditional Japanese cooking, The katsu Curry is my favorite among these, unlike Thai or Indian curry where it's very spicy, Katsu is very buttery and sweet. Usually that's my go-to when I'm not feeling like a ramen bowl. I do love the Unagi Don eel dish as well it has a very sweet eel sauce I know it sounds weird but if you want to go outside of your comfort zone you might like that a lot more than you think. They also have bobo tea, mochi ice cream, and a very fun thing called rice burgers which are rice buns with a burger in the middle. I would highly recommend this place for a date night because they actually have a combo special where you can get a ramen bowl, a appetizer, and a dessert. You can get it for yourself, or you can get a combo for two option for that special someone and plus the atmosphere would make this a very romantic place to take your partner too. I'll leave a picture but exactly comes with that. Also the atmosphere is amazing this place is perfect for a date night. The interior is beautiful with those cherry blossom limbs on the ceiling, and a lot of different nods to Japanese culture which makes me feel like I just got teleported to downtown Tokyo. The music is always relaxing, and if I want to enjoy a good Japanese beer they do have Kieran and some alcohol as well. They have really good sake. it's a really special place in baton rouge and to me it definitely feels like a little piece of Japan right here in the States. You ain't going to find anything better in my opinion. Good food, good staff, relaxing atmosphere, you can't beat hikari's ramen in baton rouge.

I absolutely enjoy the relaxed and welcoming environment. The color choices were not ones I would normally choose, but they fit very well here. I was greeted promptly, and served in a reasonably timely fashion food that was absolutely wonderful. Also, I'd like to add the staff were incredibly polite and professional. It was just splendid!

Stopped and ate with an old friend I haven’t seen in years. Food, atmosphere and staff was great. Was my 1st time eating genuine Raman and not the cheap pack from Walmart lol. Far exceeded my expectations and would definitely go back! Me and my old friend had a great time catching up.

I come in with my family all the time. My son who is obsessed with Japanese culture brought us in and we have been hooked ever since. Mighty fine food, good service it's a really good place. I get the garlic chicken bowl all the time. The appetizers are really good too. They have really big portions too for the bowls, 1 ramen bowl is enough to...
