I'm in this location often with my 5 year old. Generally speaking the people are friendly and the food is ok, but when they have a bad day, they REALLY have a bad day. I have never walked out of an establishment without eating/paying, but I did today. As I placed my order, I requested my bacon to be cooked lightly (I don't like bacon that is so crispy it crumbles apart when you try to pick it up). Got my son's waffle and grits (no butter for the grits). Our drinks hadn't arrived yet either. Asked for drinks. The guy went to wash dishes. Got my food, still no butter for the grits, the toast was burned and the bacon was over cooked. Asked for replacement toast and bacon and reminded him about our drinks. He started the toast and bacon, still no drinks. By now my 5 year old is getting antsy for his OJ and my headache is getting worse. We finally get drinks, but my coffee is ice cold and there's someone else's lipstick on the cup. The server goes to make more coffee and we still don't have butter for the grits. The lady who cooked our food walked by and I asked her for some butter while he was making coffee. She abruptly told me that he can get it for me. When I asked if she couldn't, she replied that she could but it was his job. I tried to explain that I wouldn't have asked her if I'd have known she was going on break or couldn't or whatever, but she told me I didn't need to come up in there with a "f*#@ing attitude" that I should be happy because she cooked my food. By this time, I'd had enough and told my son to get up because we were leaving. So, no drinks, burned toast, cold coffee in a dirty cup and I'm cussed out over...
Read moreOmg I don’t even know where to begin with this place! But, I’ll make it short and (probably not so) sweet. So my boyfriend and I get there (the O’Neal Lane location) around 12:20 AM because where else are you going to eat after midnight? We walked in and got a booth at the opposite side of the restaurant from the door. No one greeted us like they’re supposed to. We sat there about five to 10 minutes and never saw a server or the cook. Finally, I saw the server get up from a booth on the other side of the restaurant and started clearing a table. That’s when I also noticed the cook sitting in the same booth playing on his phone. After 10 mins of being ignored, we decided to leave, and as we were going out the door, I asked, “does anybody work here?” and the cook and the server looked at me and they both raised their hands lol. I told them to continue playing on their phone, but corporate will be made aware of their behavior. There’s no reason for anybody to sit there 5 to 10 minutes and not even get a hello, no matter what...
Read more.I ordered an order of pork chops at 6:30 and was told 5-10 minutes for them to be ready. Arrived at 6:40 and pork chops had never been put on the grill. Had to be at work right across the street for 6:45 and was told give them 5 more minutes to get them ready...at 6:50 I left late for work with no food and didn’t clock in until 6:56. Manager let me go back across the street to get food and when i walk through the door at 7 the pork chops still wasn’t done. Got my pork chops at 7:04. Arrived back at work to find out that one was done and the other one made me sick that i vomit every where. I am 6 months pregnant and this is the second horrible experience i had at Waffle House on O’neal Lane with placing a call in order. They tell you 5-10 minutes and it takes over 30 minutes just to get your food and it...
