The Cricket — Restaurant in Battle Creek

Was my first time visiting this bar. Only to see The Beatles tribute band. The place was so crowded! I ended up finding a place to set with another girl who was doing the sound for the band. Who was also one of the guys daughter. A waitress came over and took her order. She then asked if she could get me something I ordered a beer. I kept waiting for the beer. The girl next to me got her fries and when I was trying to ask the waitress about my beer she just placed the fires on the table on left! Wow I thought. I then went and stood at the bar. All of the bartenders was at the other side of the bar. I stood there for almost 5 minutes until one of them finally came down. I had to yell just to get he's attention. He saw me and asked to help me I told him I've been waiting for almost 45 minutes just for my beer. He did give it to me for free which was nice! But then when I turned around I saw the waitress talking to this guy. Funny thing to when I left after the concert. The waitress was still standing there talking to the same guy! I'd say it's pretty bad that the only waitress that was working was busy hitting on a guy and u got other customers not even getting the proper service they should be getting! Vary...

Hmmmmm....waited for the "dedicated, paid for bartender upstairs".....went downstairs to do it myself and the dedicated bartender, realizing he should be upstairs...walks right past me (waving a $20 :()....just to be approached by a bartender who wants to school me on niceties....sorry millennial I wNt a drink , I have money and you are a bartender .sorry if you are butt hurt that I did not say "good evening...Yada yada: Ugh...it's business folks. Do better for patrons who not only had to come find a drink, get ignored and then lectured.....not worth it for my money.

Ps...tried to have my husband's retirement party there in Nov 2024 and ended up down the street at new Holland for waaaayyyy cheaper and much...

Would literally give 0 stars if possible. Went to a wedding reception tonight and they were clearly short staffed. Which I have worked in the service industry and I know how it is. But the bartender, actually bar manager JB was the rudest bartender I have ever encounter in my life. Slamming cups after drink was ordered. Asking “seriously” and “are you kidding me” after I ordered my strawberry margarita. Yes I’m serious. I Asked to speak to the owner, who was there, waited for about 10minutes until I just walked away. My 3/4 full drink was cleared and thrown away after leaving it for 10 minutes to dance. It’s just ridiculous honestly. I will never come here again and never give this...
