I have been to this restaurant many times but not in the last year. My family threw a surprise birthday party for me here because they know I love the scotch eggs and bangers & mash. Unfortunately, it seems like the pandemic has hit another good restaurant. The bangers didn't have the apple taste they did before, the Shepards pie was served in a soup bowl, and they burned the last order of scotch eggs so I didn't get those at all. The waitresses were slamming dishes into the wash tub that was sitting right next to peoples tables and could be heard over the very loud room of people. I expect it to be loud in this smaller restaurant on a Saturday night but when dishes are being slammed and heard above the crowd I think that's a bit excessive. To top it off no one asked if we wanted a discount for them burning the last order of eggs and us not being able to get what we came there for. The food was slow to come out but it does warn you of that possibility on the menu when you bring in large crowds, we had 13 people. All I can say at this point is I expected more. Was good enough...

I've come here many times throughout the years, especially to frequent the bar, but my recent visits have been less than enjoyable - unfortunately. Turned me off from the place completely. I used to enjoy getting food here, but lately, it really seems like a lot of things are frozen or pre-made. Can't really enjoy a drink from here either when it is not consistent. I get completely different tasting drinks depending on who is working, despite ordering the same thing each time. To me, that is not correct, and just shows inability to train or hire experienced bartenders. It makes me sad that I can't come here and have a nice drink or meal anymore, as the atmosphere is also off putting. Last time I came in, I sat at the bar for over 10 mins without so much as a "hello" from a single employee around me. No one asked what I needed, if I wanted anything. Just stared at me. I ended up just leaving and going to another bar, it was just embarrassing. Service was amazing most of the time I've come here. I...

Extremely disapointed after my first visit. First off, it took forever to get our food. Seems like the servers were swampt or the way the place is ran is not efficient. I had ordered one of each taco. When the plate arrived it was sloppy and slapped together. The fish taco came and they cut the piece of fish they had in half. Cheesy with the portions on 3 of the 4 tacos. The chicken and beef had maybe two teaspoons of meat. Hardly any shredded lettus and was mostly tortilla. The piece of fish I was given was no bigger than a hush puppy and did not even cover half the tortilla. The piece of fish was actually mostly batter. If I am paying for a full taco, I expect as much. Seriously disappointed. I could have bought all the ingredients and made way better tacos at home in the same time that I waited for the food. This place needs serious help from a show like Bar Rescue or Resturant Impossible. The food honestly does not look or taste up to par with the prices they...

A very nice looking place for a fun taste of Irish American food! Coming from almost 2 hours away to try this place for our day in battle creek! So glad to see a mock tail menu, as the DD I like to have a tasty drink too while at a bar / pub. Got the redbull sunrise! Scotch egg was delicious, the honey mustard went so well with it. I had the bangers and mash, which my potatos were just Luke warm. Unsure if it was because of the plate being cold, or they were just not warmed enough. Delicious either way. The sausages were tasty with the tiny hint of cinnamon. Chips were thick and freshly made! And the steak in the Philly cheese was so tender. Loved it! My brother had the burger that had peanut butter. A bit odd but a had to try meal. Definitely showing this place to others if we ever go back!

This is a very cool restaurant/bar in downtown. The servers were polite and helpful. My wife ordered the bone in ribeye which was reasonably priced for 2024, but it was also a thin cut. It was okay, but nothing special. She let me try it. But then again we are spoiled living in southern Ohio where The Scioto Ribber is. Best ribeye East of the Pacific !! The veggie medley was pretty good. My brisket burnt ends were very flavorful and the mashed potatoes were good. Could have a used a 2nd side because the portion size was not very big with this meal. Our neighboring table got a casadilla and it was pretty big. Maybe order that next time. All and all, we liked the place and will come back next time we are in Battle Creek.

Came here with my wife and family last Friday. I had been here previously but it was years ago, but I remembered the fish tacos being good. This time I got something different. My wife and I got the Scotch Eggs as our appetizer and I got the brisket burnt ends. The Scotch Eggs were amazing, they blew away the ones I had previously at a restaurant in Marcellus! The Brisket burnt ends were good too, as was the mac and cheese that came with it. The cole slaw was a bit marginal unfortunately. Otherwise, I'd give it a five, because everything else was surprisingly good and for a decent price 👍🏻
