Edit: Reached out regarding their response to try it again via gift card but nobody ever responded lol.
My husband and I were SUPER excited to try KP, I’m a big foodie and I love supporting local businesses. We had the opportunity to dine here, and while the website said nothing about a reservation or how to make one, they made us feel VERY awkward for not having one. I mean three separate employees came up and asked us if we had one and we explained we didn’t see where it was needed on the website, they said “yeah, well most people call.” in a condescending way. Like ok, we’re sorry? Lol. Anyway the food was phenomenal. We ordered the hummus for our starter, and I had the chicken marsala and my husband had the salmon. The Marsala was so rich and delicious and the salmon my husband had was full of flavor. Would have loved to give a perfect 5 but wasn’t expecting to feel awkward af lol
I came here with a friend to give it another shot. We made a reservation this time! I was very excited to take my friend and the food was less than impressive. I got the bone in ribeye and asked for it to be cooked medium. It was severely under cooked and the brussel sprouts were so crunchy they were inedible. Also the plating was horrendous. I understand I got a large steak but it was literally a huge chunk of meat just thrown on the plate. My friend had the Alfredo with chicken and the chicken was so so so dry. Unfortunately we will not be...
Read moreThe wait staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Good martinis. Excellent selection of unique dishes to choose from. We had the crispy portobello fries, and they were delightful! (The only thing I can say about the fries is that the lemon wedge should be cut and placed on the rim of the sauce.) The pork belly salad wedge was such a surprise, not only for the fact that it was offered but for the fact that the pork belly was actually cooked correctly. This is something I have not found cooked correctly at any restaurant I personally have been to yet. The pork tenderloin main entree was almost infused with apple. The Duck was perfectly cooked, and can be cooked to request! If you aren't sure, go for medium well. Medium allows for some medium rare along the split which is actually a perfect cook. The dessert was a berry cheesecake brulee, and was delicious. The presentation of all items ordered was what I expect, and I hold a high standard! Battle Creek has a new gem and it's name is...
Read moreWhat an amazing gem of a restaurant! This was our first time eating here, I certainly will return with more friends. Our meals were incredible. The presentation was beautiful. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, answering all our questions about how the seafood was sourced. Normally I stick to vegetarian, but since I felt confident about the quality of the seafood I ordered the shrimp and scallops and was very impressed with the flavor and freshness of my dish- and they substituted a gluten free rotini pasta in exchange for linguini in my dish that was cooked perfectly. My friend had the fillet mignon with blue cheese and bacon, and said it was delicious. Our appetizer, a warm ricotta/goat cheese/walnut/apple concoction served with gluten free bread and crackers was exquisite. And the Creme Brulé we split for dessert was delightful. There were many options for vegetarians,. Absolutely we will return soon to check out more of what they offer! Five...
