Horrible this time! My husband and I enjoy going to dueling piano bars when we travel and have been to many. This was not even the first time we went to Jelly Rolls. We went on a Monday night after watching the fireworks from the Disney Boardwalk. We were looking forward to an evening of good entertainment and singing. We paid the $20 pp cover (FYI, they would not accept our Disney gift card as payment) and found a table in the back. At first we thought that maybe it was so loud because they were adjusting the sound. It was so loud that we kept getting alerts on our iPhones that we were in a place with such high decibel noise that temporary hearing loss could occur after 30 minutes. The volume was so loud that the actual piano playing sounded distorted. We asked multiple people to see if the volume could be lowered, it is not a large venue, and no one seemed at all interested in helping us. We had each ordered a drink when we sat down as we were sort of followed by a waiter. A beer and small drink in a plastic cup was $26. We left within 10-15 minutes of being there and told the people at the entrance that we could not stay and showed them the noise alerts from our phone. We also told them we had never been to any piano bar that overly loud and it had never been that loud at Jelly Rolls before. They did not say they were sorry or offer any refund since we had ‘walked in’ for 10 minutes. We have been Disney Vacation Club members for 17 years and had never been treated so...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk. It personally made my Boardwalk and even my Disney experience. The way Jellyrolls works is, you provide a tip and a song and the performers will do their best to fulfill your request (they almost always do). I visited on my last night and I'm just blown away by the attentiveness of the wait staff and the heart and talent of the preformers Put simply, the servers were friendly the whole night in addition to visting the table often
The performers make the spot though. I cannot tell you all of their names because I became wrapped up in the music but each gentleman who took the stage was talented, fed off his stagemate well, and fed of the crowd well. I'm tempted to overstate just how wonderful my experience was, but I think it's best put by saying that: JELLYROLLS IS A MUST VISIT EXPERIENCE ON THE BOARDWALK, MY TIME IN THEIR VENUE HELPED MAKE MY STAY BETTER. PLEASE VISIT AND TREAT THE PERFORMERS KINDLY. Edit: The drinks were fine, and the performers were not only willing to explore outside their comfort zone but were able to keep up with the most obscure requests and played some of the most piano heavy pieces...
Read moreSo after hearing the hype about this place I finally went. Saturday night at 10:30, good crowd, went to the bar no wait for a drink . I wanted to liven up the place after hearing the same old piano songs ,so I ordered $500 worth of shots for all the ladies in the place . The bartenders were great as was the manager ,she was awesome. I wanted someone to make an announcement about the free shots but they wouldn’t do it . The piano players flat out sucked . I tried to give a napkin with a song and $20 bucks , the guy didn’t even look at it and snatched it and threw it on his piano . The whole concept is to maybe stump them with a song and engage the crowd. They played the same old bar songs like Billy Joel, Elton John , Journey etc. Needless to say I will not be back . The entertainers have no personality , they think they are some mega stars. Talent was a 4 at best . I’ve been around the world and have seen some big ego entertainers but these guys take the cake. Guys your playing at Disney Boardwalk not a sold out stadium. Get over yourselves. Will not go back and would never suggest it to anyone ....
