Being from England I was very much looking forward to chatting and seeing some of the people from the UK and seeing Epcot's take on the UK. The place was fine, very stereotypical but that was expected as it was portraying the UK in a way where people would recognise it from all over the world. However the people were not, and this disappointe me most of all because as i said before I am British and always saw us as a polite friendly people . Starting with one of the boys, I forget his name but he was from Mansfield according to his badge, he interrupted us whilst talking to one of the girls working in the crest shop to say he had a headache to her and he was very rude about all these 'f*ing tourist' then when we said that was rude he said he didn't care. But used another swear word. This wasn't something I expected from a Disney Park Second thing was that I am 26 and although I may look in my early twenties and know they have to ID anyone they made it very hard saying they couldn't use British driving licenses because not many people had seen them before, baring in mind these people were British and in their mid twenties I can guarantee 100% they know what a British driving license is and probably have them themselves, they refused in my opinion because I asked for 3 Guinness and clearly were out of their depth pouring them. ( throughout the whole park I had 3/4 drinks from other areas and never had this problem) I don't have an issue with being ID'd I do however have an issue with the way they just refused logic. I did t know it was in Disneys plans to hire imbosiles. thirdly it's a British 'pub' and in Britain unlike America it isn't compulsory to tip on top of the price of a beer when the beer is $10/12 dollars. Different culture and I accept that, so I do continue to tip and did tip throughout the day ( I know you don't have to if you don't want to) however I paid the older man 16 dollars for two drinks and he kept the change without giving me the opportunity to offer a few dollars, if he thinks pouring a small glass of Guinness into a plastic cup is worth four dollars then this man needs a reality check Genuinely was so disappointed and ashamed to be British with the way these people were...

Read moreA wonderful place to visit while at EPCOT. This is a wonderful place to visit to give you a feel for the United Kingdom. It is located between the Canada pavilion and the French Pavilion. Looking at an overhead image it is at about the 10 o’clock position around the lake that the World Showcase surrounds. There are several shops and restaurants in this area. The restaurant, fast food window, and the food kiosks are located on the “lakeside” of the walkway whereas the shops and gardens are located “inland.” There are several architectural details that the Imagineers built into this area. The Disney app has the details that describe these features like the different roof types representing methods and eras of construction in the country. The cobblestone street leads off the walkway into a side street around a small maze of hedges that are fun to go through with the kids. Often, during the flower and garden or the food and wine shows they put displays in the back area. The Christmas corner is often put in this area and the maze surrounds a small stage where they have had performers several times before. There is a Tea Shop right along the main walkway that has a garden behind it. The shop and the garden are worth a visit as the teas are very good and the garden has some explanation of the teas. The staff was very pleasant and the area was kept clean even though it was pretty crowded. Overall, this is an excellent area to visit, buy some tea or just walk around to get a feel for...
