Dave & Buster's Bayamon — Restaurant in Bayamón

If you ever find yourself in Puerto Rico, I would strongly advise against visiting Dave & Buster's in Bayamón, particularly if you wish to have an enjoyable experience with your family.

On May 6th, around 9 pm, we were celebrating my sister's 18th birthday when a group of individuals approached us while we were playing games. Despite our vigilance, they managed to steal my phone. I tried calling my phone and tracking it, but it had already been turned off. I then reported the situation to the front desk, where the employee searched a drawer and told me there was nothing she could do if my phone was not there. She suggested I go to another desk on the other side of the establishment.

As you can imagine, the adrenaline and frustration were overwhelming for both myself and my family. After waiting at the second desk for an extended period, we were met with an exceedingly disappointing customer service experience. The management's handling of the situation was subpar, and while there was not much they could do in terms of retrieving my phone, they failed to exhibit any empathy or urgency in assisting and supporting their customers.

I requested to speak with the manager, who was not initially offered by the staff. The manager took his time arriving and showed a lack of proactivity, gracious customer service, delegation of responsibilities, clear communication, conflict resolution, and leadership by example. Most importantly, there was no empathy displayed.

After explaining what happened, the manager stated there was nothing he could do. I asked about the security guards and surveillance cameras, and only then did he communicate with staff on the floor to notify them of my phone issue. The manager expected us to simply make a police report and leave, rather than providing any assistance. As we searched for the individuals we had seen earlier and my phone, the manager disappeared and never returned to help.

Frustrated by the incompetence of Dave & Buster's and their management, I took the initiative to go back to the front desk and request a piece of paper and a pen to leave my contact information in case my phone was found, as no employee or manager had bothered to take my information.

Our experience at Dave & Buster's will always be negative. Although my phone was not recovered, the establishment could have done more to make us feel valued and supported. Had management provided proper customer service and assistance, we would have stayed despite the theft of my phone, which has since been replaced. We ultimately left not due to the loss of a replaceable item, but because of the lack of customer service and the negative experience we had at an establishment we were patronizing and promoting. The evening's events cast a shadow over our family's birthday celebration.

On my fourth time, again, the service was disastrous and the prices are way too expensive. I tried a burger and onion rings, the honey mustard never arrived, I have to make it thru with the solo Sprite serving. This time I told the waitress because the place was almost empty, this was 3 Fridays ago around 6pm. The arcade machine are superb but pricey. It is a sham that a pricey place has lousy customer service. The waitress was very friendly and kind but she disappeared once we ordered and when we ask for the bill and yes, I even have to hunt for her because we never got to see her after the order. Another patron was not happy as well because all waitress were not accounted for, they were gone for a full hour or more. At least they provided a decent take out plates but no plastic bags, so I have to carry a takeout plate and navegate thru the crowd, lucky the place was halfway full. I will not recommend this place if you want to have a good service that is comparable with the bill. They don't even have kid's cups with proper lids, in a dinner that advertised as a family place it is not acceptable. I think 3 stars is pushing it but, the arcade side it wow and the place is spotless. Fix the customer service and have a faster food delivery and you may regain...
