Very upsetting experience! Ruined my night. Went there with my 3yr old son to order 3items to bring home. After 35minutes of waiting in no AC and no fan I asked the young cashier how much longer it would be and I received such a snotty facial expression with no answer only that the people before me are DooDash customers. So I asked again and clarified my question which was..."How much longer do you think our food will be"? Again rude facial expression and in a snotty attitude filled voice I got "two minutes". I said very calmly "ok thank you, I just really wish you had told me how long it would be because I could have brought my son home so he wasn't here crying in the heat for 40 minutes"...the level of unnecessary attitude from this teenage girl was so out of line but I held my cool and waited with my son. Then out of no where she said in an even more rude and attitude filled way " here you want your money back?!" Which wasn't really even necessary, I just needed my food and to get my baby home. A minute later my food was ready and the girl was berating me with attitude and snide remarks, so out of line, words cannot even describe the rudeness from this girl all while I was very pleasant and overly patient during my hour long wait for a small order. I wasn't even responding to her rudeness but she would not stop making rude comments and treating me terribly in front of my young child and the other customers.
I had reached my breaking point. Still very calmly I walked back to her register and asked for her name which she would not give and surprisingly was still delivering teenage attitude and snottiness like it was her job instead of customer service. The cooks and get coworkers knew what was going on and they knew she was in the wrong. I asked to speak to the manager and this teenager told me it was her dad's restaurant. Fine, I need to speak to your father. She burst into tears knowing that her dad would know exactly what has happened.
One of her coworkers graciously called this girls father for me. The owner, the girls dad, was very nice and professional and I could tell that he knows that his daughter is like that. I'm sure she was grounded or something.
This girl thought that because her dad owns the restaurant she could treat a paying customer in a cruel and unkind way in front of other customers.
All I hope is that this girl has learned a lesson. You can't treat people that way. Do not bite the...
Read moreLast evening, my husband and I decided to try La Marmota for some takeout, enticed by their menu’s promise of delicious Tacos Al Pastor. The menu, complete with a photo, assured a garnish of cheese, cucumber, cilantro, onion, and lime. However, upon opening our order at home, we found our tacos lacking the promised cheese and cucumber, leaving us with just onion, cilantro, and lime. Disappointed, I reached out to the restaurant, hoping for an explanation or a remedy. Unfortunately, the response was far from satisfactory. The staff member’s tone was condescending, and I was informed that cucumbers and cheese were not standard taco toppings, despite what the menu stated. When I questioned the discrepancy between the menu and our order, I was bluntly told the menu was incorrect, with no apology or offer to correct the mistake. Seeking resolution, I requested to speak with the owner, who was reportedly too occupied to address a customer’s concern. I left my contact details, hoping for a follow-up call that never came, even two hours post-closing. It’s disheartening when a dining experience is marred not just by a failure to deliver what was promised, but also by a lack of customer service. A simple acknowledgment of the oversight or a gesture to make amends could have gone a long way. Unfortunately, La Marmota fell short on both counts. Rating: 2/5 - For the food that did arrive as expected, but a significant deduction for service and...
Read moreI will start by saying I haven't actually eaten here yet. I occasionally deliver for DoorDash and Uber Eats. I had an order that came through this evening, even though the restaurant was closed. I didn't realize they were closed until I got there to pick it up. Most places would have either not answered the door or refused to make the food since they had already closed, but the surprised me when they said they'd make it for me. I waited about 15 minutes, and when they handed me the order, they both thanked me for my patience and were super polite. Customer service is typically my biggest complaint these days, so I was thoroughly impressed with them tonight. I think I'm going to have to stop in and give the food a try now too since it all...
