Elena's — Restaurant in Beaumont

We decided to try this Elena's location because Buckstin was full. Wow, what a let down. When I saw the inside, I immediately assumed it was going to be the same generic "casa ole style" tex mex - not great but okay for a quick meal. Unfortunately, it's not even that good. We were served pretty good chips and watery salsa. The menu is full of inaccuracies and incomplete descriptions - so much so that the server has to correct things while you're trying to order. All of the entrees we ordered were dry beyond belief. I lifted an enchilada with a fork and the plate below it was perfectly dry and spotless. When you cut into it, dry chicken just tumbles out. It was kind of surreal. We tried a taco, and the same thing - ground beef so dry, it dries out your mouth while eating it. No juices, grease, nothing.

The food here was like Mexican food cooked in the 1950s in Canada by someone who'd read a description of the dishes, but never actually tried...

I have been eating at Elena's since the late 1980s. Yvette has this location rocking. She and Carol are the perfect duo and their personalities are always on point .. I feel like family.

they have weekly specials both to drink and eat.

my favorite thing here is beef fajitas .. In any dish, the chips and hot sauce are always perfect. . charro beans never disappoint and the guacamole is always fresh.

if you live in beaumont and for some weird reason have not had Elena's .. go get ya some, if you are passing through, I promise, it's worth the stop ..

Ask for Laura, she is my favorite waitress in Beaumont, she will certainly take good care of you ..

This was my first time to go to Elena's. We walked in on a Monday night, and it was not very busy. Javier was our waiter, and he was an absolute delight from start to finish. He answered questions about the menu as well as told us specials without us even asking him. He took our order, and everything with direct changes was brought out within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was absolutely delicious. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. Even so, the atmosphere was still great. Other employees always had a smile on their face. The whole experience was 10 out of 10. I'd go there again and tell all my friends to go. Great...
