Meh. Entry way was crowded and uncomfortable. Atmosphere was fun, but no sound dampening so normal conversation voice couldn't be heard unless you were 2 inches away from the person. Menu items were interesting, but our dishes were bland and overcooked. Everything was sort of rubbery. I really wanted to love this place but honestly 1st impression not so great. We will be trying it again hoping for a one off, but not holding my breath. -- Terribly sad. Love the bright green they painted the place. Seating was full, but not overly crowded feeling. Wait staff was excellent, and seemed excited about their work. Everything was clean and happy. Food was disappointing. I got a simple breakfast. Eggs had no taste, pancake was so dense and rubbery I didn't even get 1/2 way into it before just saying no. (I asked for sugar free syrup, & they had it, which is awesome 🙂, but it was the worst brand ever😕.) The biscuit was good, but the butter was tasteless. This would be an excellent opportunity for honey butter or something a little fancy. Or just plain honey and "I can't believe it's not butter". I mean come on, awesome biscuit deserves some love people! Just saying... Food had some room for improvement.

I recently dined at The Toasted Yolk Cafe, and overall, my experience was just okay. The food itself was decent—flavors were there, and everything was cooked properly, but nothing stood out as particularly special or memorable. It was the kind of meal that satisfies hunger but doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Service was also just fine. The staff was polite and efficient, but there was no extra effort to make the experience feel welcoming or engaging. It felt like they were just going through the motions. My biggest disappointment, however, was the presentation. The dishes were plated carelessly, almost as if no thought was given to how they looked when they arrived at the table. While taste is the most important factor, presentation adds to the experience, and this was definitely lacking. Overall, if you’re just looking for an average meal without any frills, this place will do. But if you’re someone who appreciates a well-presented dish, you might leave feeling underwhelmed.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. MUST STOP BY 1. The service was top notch. And it was not just our server, watching the entire team - they all provided service that was amazing. I always watch other servers to see if we just got a good one or if the location ensures quality service. This place is definitely the latter. 2. The food menu was diverse enough without being over saturated. A breakfast (served all day) and lunch menu (start serving it at 10:30) was available. Primarily sandwiches on lunch menu and soups. 3. The food itself is AMAZING. I can NOT stress this enough. Even a side of French toast, as basic as it is, was great. 4. You HAVE to get the shrimp and grits (pictured) - this was my wife's meal and holy crop was I envious. That has to be the best shrimp I ever had in my life. It is a MUST stop by in the area for breakfast. Highly, highly recommended. This gets a special "Odyssey Approval".

On Father’s Day 6/18/2023 my family and I ate there, The food and service was great, but my issue is that the women’s restroom was out of hand soap and I went to the front and told 2 waitresses and asked them how long will it be bc I needed to wash my hands, they said it was being worked on and they didn’t know how long it was going to take so I went back to my table and could see them snickering about my complaint, not even 1 minute after getting back to my table, the manager comes over to ask if everything was good, I said no I just told the 2 waitresses that the women’s hand soap was out and they said they didn’t have a time on when the soap would be refilled and I asked the manager how long will it be, he said it will take 30 seconds to replace it, so I waited about 5 minutes and went back into the restroom to try and wash my hands again, and again it wasn’t refilled so I said the heck with it, If you work in the food industry, all employees must wash their hands after coming out of the restroom, when I went in there the second time, an employee just came out of the stall and couldn’t have washed her hands properly bc there wasn’t any hand soap, but she walked out of the women’s restroom without washing her hands, I sure hope they fix this issue bc people can get very sick from touching door handles and anything else that hasn’t been cleaned properly, so I don’t feel like eating feces/fecal matter or anything else bc people don’t wash their hands and I surely don’t like eating hand sanitizer when I’m having to...

We've eaten at other TYs and never had an issue. In all fairness, this one is new and maybe they just have kinks to work out. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was so pepper hot I was unable to eat it. After the first bite I knew I would be unable to eat it, so I just ate the eggs and hash browns that came with it. Our waitress asked me if there was a problem and I told her that it was so spicy I could not eat it. Her response was, "Do you want a to go container to bring it home?" Why in the world would I want to bring it home if I couldn't eat it there? A better question would have been, "Would you like me to take it off of your bill?" The manager passed by and asked if there was a problem, so I told him the same thing. He asked if I would like for him to make a new one with unseasoned flour, so I told him to go ahead and do that. When he brought it back, it was cooked in the exact same flour, full of pepper. It was just like the first one. Having been a restaurant manager myself, I would have offered to remove it from the bill. Money isn't really the issue. It's the principle. Why would you pay for something that you couldn't even eat? At the very least, he could have made it clear to the cook to use different flour to make sure it wasn't spicy. In the future, I think we will find a new place to eat when...

Wife got off early enough to finally come eat here today. To my surprise they have a bar area LOL. Would be the perfect place for a work brunch meeting.

Staff: Open doors for you. Always smiling. Very attentive, courteous and top notch. Best service you can ask for. Waitress stopped by regularly (even surprisingly refilled our starter with more chips and guac - yes it was that good). Manager came to see how we were doing and how was the food. Better service than all the other restaurants I have been to here in Beaumont. Very smooth transitions from drinks to starter to meal and check out. Food came out warm/hot.

Food: Started with TRIPLE DIP which were amazing with their home made guac (must have). The cheese dip is 2nd and 3rd wasnt crazy about the salsa (have had better but was ok). Wife ordered PORK CHOP BREAKFAST cooked to order and seasoned well. I ordered WEST COAST ARNOLD with Hollandaise and Cholula ranch sauces on the side and hashbrown casserole "extra extra extra crispy" (server recommended since I mentioned I preferred Waffle House hash browns). And yes I did enjoy it - thank you for the recommendation. Put together with a spicy BLOODY MARY made our meal complete. Bloody Mary was really well made. The food was fantastic and everything delicious and...
