Rao's Bakery Coffee Cafe — Restaurant in Beaumont

This was my first visit here (along with my husband). I had a flat white - if you love HOT coffee that stays hot for a long time, this is for you! I had to double up on sleeves it was so hot. I was so excited! I'm always complaining about the coffee not being hot enough or staying hot for very long when I get a coffee out somewhere. It had a nice flavor as well- no bitter notes. My husband had the French roast coffee - he said their description of it was pretty spot on. (I believe he read it on something while I was waiting on mine. He said it was kind of smoky.)

We were very tempted to get some of the food/ dessert, but we just weren't hungry at all. It looked delicious, though!

The atmosphere-- it felt like being in a small town coffee shop or of a Hallmark movie. I can't quite say why exactly, but maybe a combination of the background music, friendly faces, cozy atmosphere.

I would love to come back again to eat...

Wow!! We added a few minutes to our travels back home from Crystal Beach, TX to stop at this bakery coffee shop and wow! The display of desserts was beautiful and everything looked delicious. It was so hard to pick what treat to get because they had a huge selection. The staff was great. We were greeted when we came in. The lady that helped us kindly answered all my questions. We got a few different desserts and they were all so so good! We also got cold coffees and they were very tasty too. The owner happened to be there and introduced himself and even gave us some cookies for the road for our kiddos. I hope we end up in the area again so we can stop by. I purchased three cakes from Rios bakery for my Christmas dinner. I purchased a strawberry cheesecake, a strawberry cake and a German chocolate cake they were over the top. I have no complaints. Very very delicious. My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed these desserts. I will be looking forward to purchasing desserts from rails bakery for upcoming events. I was so pleased with all of them, the staff and rails bakery were very friendly and courteous towards me as I selected my desserts over the phone and in-store when I picked them up the atmosphere was wonderful I just loved it.
