Home style Soul Food at it's Finest! A-1, Rosie's!! Phenomenal. I had the Smothered Pork Chops, Candied Yams, and Okra 'n Tomatoes, With a slab of Dark Chocolate Cake. Only complaint? Cake WAS just a LIIIITTLE BIT dry. But everything, and everyone, else was STELLAR. Highly recommend to all and sundry. And ...that GRAVY?? Man! Haven't had the like in years a 'plenty...since my Gran died, I've not had such fine, down home good food. And the GRAVY!?...shhhh...!! Now! Don't say this loud, cuz she'll roll right over in that Casket...but (I do love n miss you SO, Gran! Oh man I do!!) But .... Rosie's is better than my Gran's was. Omg it was rich, smooth, and creamy without one HINT of lump, and no taste of too much CornStarch as a trick either!! PERFECTION IN ALL CATEGORIES. Only thing...Id sink a tad more capital into interiors and decor...but...if you're looking for good afood and not worried about good atable arranging and such...? Knocked it out tha' PARK Rosie's... Firing on all cylinders,...

Ox Tail, Pork Roast, Jerk Pork, and my favorite Meatloaf are offered up on a steam table and served by some of most delightful people in Beaumont, Texas. Sides are a hearty mix of Butter Beans, Pinto Beans, Tomato and Okra, ad well as a bevy of favorites such as Mac and Cheese, Sliced Potatoes and Corn. And don't go thinking portions are average. Oh no! They are generous so be ready for a take out box for you most likely will need it. I highly recommend Rosie's simply because the food is great. And yes, it truly is good...

The butter beans, pretty good, but could be better. The turkey wings were better, but still could be better. The ultra sweet cornbread is not southern. The peach cobbler was probably good when fresh and warm. The pecan pie was downright nasty! We we're sadly disappointed. I should have spent my money 2 blocks East where...
