Not my normal coffee shop (was in town for a day), but if today's experience was any indication of normal operations, then you'd be best to go to the Starbucks in Target up the street. We placed a mobile order on our way over, to try and save time, but upon entering the building, we found ourselves being absorbed into a mob of mildly irritated customers, a slowly growing pile of ready drinks on the counter, and nary a match to be found between the two. Not sure who "Chewie" was, but the baristas were happy to churn out a new beverage for them every few minutes, while the dozen or so people waiting for their coffee looked around in confusion. Eventually one barista got smart, and began doing roll call against the myriad of orders stuck to his espresso machine to determine who was actually present, but several folks, myself included, were still waiting a good 15 minutes for drinks, which is pretty abysmal by Starbucks standards.
I will also add that this was a graduation weekend at Lamar University, so several folks were in town this day, and may have contributed to their large influx of orders that the team wasn't ready for. Regardless, I do want to say that the team wasn't letting the pressure get to them, and kept churning out beverages with a good attitude, even if it wasn't always the right beverage. Also, my mocha latte came out great, so for those reasons I couldn't bring myself to dock any more points than I did. Hopefully on any other weekend, they can serve with the...
Read moreI have become a regular at your location on I-10 and College St in Beaumont, TX. The entire staff at this location are top shelf. Very cool under pressure. I've had management positions in the military, retail and restaurants. I recently took a semi retired position driving a stuffy old armored truck. I needed a boost and when my partner stopped for his morning coffee I decided to give it a try. I explained to the young man I did not like the taste of coffee but I needed something strong. His name is Chris. He hooked me up with something both strong and tasty. This young man is an exceptional customer service representative. He remembers all the regulars names and orders. It is reciprocal. The customers seek him out to wish him good morning. I would also like to point out another employee with exceptional customer service skills. Her name is Kelsey. If time permits she will have my coffee ready before I make it to the register. I'm not sure what her secret is but it always taste better when she makes it. The great smile and friendly personality most likely help. The entire crew is very friendly and professional. The manager is obviously a good recruiter. This store gets very busy and hectic and this crew has always been professional. I wanted to acknowledge these two exceptional employees. I've become a regular for many more reasons than coffee. I am certain if I came out of retirement I would recruit...
Read moreService is horrible. Incredibly rude to their customers. Made a mobile order and got in line a little too early for their liking and they made it known. Opened the window, handed me my drink and said, "Before you mobile order and get directly in line next time know that it takes 5 minutes before our system prints out your order." and shuts the window. I get it if they were nice and just letting me know for next time, but their tone of voice and facial expressions were very much not that. I feel that as a customer we should NOT have to know that, and the whole point of a mobile order is to keep the line moving. Usually at Starbucks there is a insane long line so of course I mobile ordered. It is not my fault nobody was in line. Even if they were frustrated they can still have good customer service. I have worked customer service jobs before, I know they are stressful and can be frustrating but there is never a good reason to treat a customer with disrespect like that. I will not be going back to this location. MLK, Dowlen, and the Target Starbucks location have top notch service compared to this one....
