My boyfriend and I went to Restorante Ti Amo 2 days ago. Food was very good or at least it tasted good, (besides mussels that tasted strange to me but we did not return them, unfortunately). As soon as I got home I started having signs of food poisoning. I made it through the night somehow, but instead of feeling better I started feeling even worse vomiting, high temperature and abdominal pain. My boyfriend also felt sick, but not as bad as I did. I called the restaurant to tell that they might need to check their food so they would not poison other customers, but the manager did not even seem to care. He did not believe me that I had gotten food poisoning in their restaurant!!!!!! He kept saying that it was the stomach flue that was going around! It was pretty embarrassing... He did not even ask my name or contact information!!! He did offer to refund the money for the dinner (we payed over a hundred dollars for the dinner for 2!) , but there was no offer to pay for my doctor visit!!! I wonder would he be more engaged if I did not have an European accent? If I am not from around here my voice and life does not count? I am very disappointed with the way our dinner turned out and would not advice anyone to go to...
Read moreMake sure you make a reservation before coming to this Tuscan style Italian eatery. Also, they have two locations. This one is located on the corner of an otherwise non descriptive strip mall. Walk inside and you will be transported to an Italian eatery. Portions are not huge but they are not small either and everything is delicious and made fresh. It is pricey but well worth it! We had two entrees: the Pasta Gamberetti e Pesto di Pomodoro which had shrimp sautéed with garlic olive oil, parsley, red pepper flakes, mushrooms and red onions in a sundried tomato pesto cream sauce and penne pasta; and the Involtino di Pollo, which was a chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and garlic, wrapped with prosciutto and topped with a chianti wine sauce, served with sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert, we tried the Cappuccino Torte which is a Cappuccino Mousse, Espresso Fudge over a Graham Cracker Walnut Crust. Service was prompt and attentive. Very...
Read moreI ordered the gnocchi gorganzola. These dumpling were cold and smothered in a disgusting gorgonzola sauce. The gnocchi itself was under done and was mush. I then tried the farafalle with asparagus and in a marinara cream sauce. The pasta was over cooked, the chicken was sparse and way over done that it was tough, and the plate was a massive swimming pool of too salty sauce. It tasted like it was from a jar. The asparagus was way too over cooked so much so that it was hollowed out. I thought they were over cooked green beans. Mmmm I'm pretty sure they were green beans. Probably a substitute. My husband had the special which was a walleye bass picatta. It was a very good picatta sauce--big piece of fish and small amount of pasta. He enjoyed it. The restaurant ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. You walk in and there is an over stuffed closet area which looks dirty and dark and kinda dank. I don't know why there are so many stars for this place. I...
