Terrible experience. We were completely forgotten and our food was never brought to us until we finally asked after an hour.
We came in around 6:10pm. There were only a few tables taken and some folks at the bar. Our party of 5 was seated promptly and we already had an idea of what we wanted so we ordered our main meals right away along with an appetizer of fried calamari. The app came out in good time (though it also seemed to include fried shrimp which was odd and also dangerous for me who has an allergy. I even told them such as we ordered) but after that we waited and waited. Other tables sat and seemed to be getting their food. Finally after over an hour (7:20pm) we decided to ask what was going on. All the servers kept rushing back and forth and never looked in our direction so we couldn't even signal for their attention. Finally one of us had to walk up to the pickup station and get someone. We then found out that our food had been ready ages ago (40ish minutes) and it had just been sitting under a hot lamp because someone forgot. They gave us this food (instead of remaking it fresh which would have been the minimum expectation in my book) and so we got to eat a luke warm meal while some folks had hotter meals depending on how long ago it was made. The manager apologized and only offered 20% off only the food (we only had 2 cocktails and 2 draft beers). I understand that things can get busy and get delayed but that long is ridiculous for not only our server to forget but for none of the other staff to constantly walk past our plates and not realize the food has just been sitting there for so long. Very disappointing.
One final issue, the chicken pot pie I ordered was some kind of deconstructed mess where I just got some filling in a shallow bowl with 2 random sticks of puff pastry stuck in it. Very...
Read moreFirst off Iâll say, the food was excellent. What we got of it anyway. A very nice older gentleman seated us and took our drink order, after that it was mostly downhill. I was with my four year old and to give you an idea of how âbigâ this kid is, he still wears 18 months shorts haha. So, a tiny child. They have a kids menu with five, I think, menu items. I ordered him the first option- egg, sausage, pancake. After twenty or so minutes, no drinks except tap water that we didnât ask for. The food comes out, with a whole lumberjackâs breakfast worth of food for my four year old. I didnât realize at first, he was distracting me. But, noticed and tried to make it obvious to the staff that I was not happy. That didnât work. So, finally our waitress came to clear another table and asked if we were okay. I told her no. Told her all of my grievances. And she kept trying to get my son to want the mistake. I told her four, maybe five times that his order was one egg, sausage and a pancake. (He legitimately cried when they had brought out the other food) so, she walked away and a minute later comes back. Asks if all he wanted was a smaller version of what was on the plate. I wanted to cry at that point. She said she was going to comp the meal and I said youâre damn right you are. We shared nasty tap water and very, very good French toast. And he ate my egg. Naturally. So, whomever that broad was, maybe donât smoke all the weed before...
Read moreI always hate leaving bad reviews, but this wasn't good. I don't know if it was an off day or what, but the hashbrowns and omelet had no seasoning. I don't even think salt & pepper were used. We averaged about $15-20/pp for breakfast. Touristy area, so we weren't surprised, but I would never go back because it just wasn't good.
The hashbrowns were soft and mushy in areas and crispy in a few small areas.
My daughter thought her scrambled eggs were made with powdered eggs. I tasted a bit and tend to agree. This kid eats the heck out of eggs normally and didn't go in for a second bite.
Their pancakes tasted like they maybe use some kind of malt powder in them. Personally I thought they were delicious, but my kids hated them. Had we realized they used malt powder, my kids wouldn't have ordered them.
Anyway, maybe dinner and lunch are better. For breakfast I wouldn't go back. The waitresses was attentive. So there was a positive.
Oh yeah, most shocking part of our visit- There was a percentage added onto our bill because we weren't paying in cash. We weren't ever advised of this little detail until she had already run the card. I have no idea if this is just this establishment or "normal" here. It wasn't a huge amount, so I didn't bother saying anything, but it was a bit odd. If they had a note about it to explain the charge,...
