The Chicken was Beautiful, Sloppy, Falling off the bone, Savory, Deeply colored, Amazing, Perfection!
I rarely travel to the hinterlands of Mordor except for nefarious business. A dark and shadowy Craigslist bargain that forces me to drive out of my comfort zone so far from my humble Shire. So when when the dealing’s done and I start looking for sustenance to lift my spirits for the harrowing journey home (I hate that drive), I really want something at least decent. I happen on Daddy’s Chicken, the reviews are good and it has the benefit of being very close. When I arrive it’s hidden way back in an unlikely hidden parking lot caged in a cyclone fence like a storage lot and honestly my heart sinks a bit.
But let me say that within these foreboding gates lurks culinary wonders! Daddy’s Chicken was drop dead incredible! Succulent, fulfilling, messy, complex, savory… the oily onions , the peppers, the whole thing. Even Daddy himself were all perfect! I had the half chicken and for a mere $13 I was satiated! I was replete! Fortified for the road! Girded for war! Ready to face the world! Already trying to think of some far fetched reasons that might bring me all the way back to this side of the universe!
And beyond even that, there are other food carts within those cyclone confines that I suspect might be equally as deserving of exploration and I can tell you, I can hardly wait!
Thank you Daddy!...
Read moreChicken is amazing and reminds me of places that I had been to when visiting family in Mexico. The green salsa is incredibly flavorful and not very spicy while the red salsa is spicy, but in a manner that still allows you to enjoy the flavor of the food that you are eating. The rice is made in a manner that reminds me of my grandmothers home cooking and the beans are reminiscent of some of the locations that I had been to in Mexico as well. They supply a healthy amount of grilled jalapenos and onion. Unless I want to buy a plane ticket to go to Mexico, this is the best chicken you can...

We ordered our food and they had it ready before we even sat down. The food was super fresh and flavorful and the rice and beans were delicious as well, and the portions had our money’s worth. We will definitely come back to eat here when we come back to Oregon, and for the people curious to try this place go for it you will definitely be satisfied with...
