The Queenâs Feast was the second performance Iâve seen by the Experience Theater Project. The acting and costumes were excellent and I will definitely continue to see more performances by this very entertaining theater group! There were a few issues that, if they were improved, would make this experience better. I think having to stop and buy âcoinsâ to pay for extra drinks or tip wait staff was a huge waste of time. I get that they were trying to make it as realistic as possible but that didnât make sense to me, especially considering they ran out of coins anyway and were giving tickets out instead. To me it wouldâve been much easier & faster to just pay the bartenders directly with cash for drinks. The other big issue is that there wasnât really anyone, that I saw, assigned to help anyone find their table. That was frustrating for me and took away from the fun of the night.
I was also disappointed that I was there by 6:00 pm and there was a booth setup with jewelry for sale but there was no one attending that booth and no prices. There was so much going on to get checked in, stand in line to buy drink tickets, stand in line to get drinks, etc., that I never made it to that booth when someone was actually there to answer my questions that I didnât get to...
Read moreLast night, I saw their production of Frankenstein and it was very, very good. Incredibly intimate as we, the audience, are standing in the middle of the action, moving from scene to scene with the actors, guided by costumed "shadows" who guide us through the show. The technics were effective, the acting and directing were strong, very good performances all around, from the lead roles to the ensemble, very well done.
Particularly the two lead roles of Dr. Frankenstein and the tragic monster were outstandingly played. I think the role of the monster must be particularly challenging and the actor and director really nailed it.
The sad themes of the story were beautifully portrayed.
We've seen three other shows from this company and it's apparent that they put a lot of work and thought into their shows and provide an unique experience of immersive theater.
Will be back. I'd go back and see this show...
Read moreThis was a fun theater experience, a well done show with some slight interactivity. We were given side seating but decided to move to where we are in the middle of it. While my husband had to turn around to see what was going on, he was offered a different seat in the middle of the 1st scene and declined. So they take care of their audience. For having peope staring at them from 2 feet away the actors had thier work together. We really enjoyed the production. Although the masks might of been a little much, we couldn't see the show too well...
