Another Do Not Pass Up Spot
But really it should be "Set down the slurpee, Icee, snow cone, freeze pop because we have been doing it wrong Spot"
Thank you Philly, for this constructively simple frozen perfection. I really dont want to admit it, because if it wasnt for the suggestion I wouldnt of gone. I even said so it's a slurpee / snowcone. "That's a negative ghostrider", I ate my own words almost literally because I had nothing to say after I tried it, because I made fun of them at first. I have made up with you Rita's I do not actually want to admit how many times I've been here since then. The best way to eat the regular Italian Ice, is grab a couple larges because some flavors come and go. Put whatever ones your not eating back into your home freezer. Usually by the time I get home the one I want to eat first gets past that preferred frozen temp. So for me it's all of them in the freezer. Which is the best part about this place, even though it will be semi rock solid after putting in the freezer. I can make one trip and enjoy them over the next week. However keep in mind this is a me thing, if you dont like scraping at super cold ice then dont ruin the enjoyment it will bring you. Enjoy one or dont, just more for me and everyone else that understands there is a difference.
My go to's are; red sour patch, blue raspberry, swedish fish, and watermelon, and any regular fruit flavors.
Oh Gelati with the frozen custard on your Italian Ice, almost every flavor works...

Some guy is offering us free samples and the girls, who are normally a little shy about taking advantage of someone, are made so comfortable that they're trying everything! I loved the black cherry ice and custard combo and turned out the girls did, too, as we got 3.
Turns out Dave is the owner and you can tell he loves his place. Some guys leave the corp world and are so happy with the change. Dave's one of those and it permeates this little shop, giving it a great atmosphere.
We'll be moving up to Trinity high school in another two yrs but we're not going to wait before making this a regular...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGiving 2 stars is being generous. I started patronizing because they have a plethora of sugar free options. I initially was patronizing another custard shop in Keller. Rita's is closer. I downloaded the app and was going 2 to 3 times a week. I guess I wasn't earning rewards when they scan my qr on my phone. Nothing changed , it reads I have no order history nothing. Strange. The last couple of trips here no sugar free options available. I was informed today to call and request. Why should I a customer call to request something that a business carries and I'm assuming has days to have it available. Well today, I'm done patronizing because I'm not calling a business to request anything especially when I'm paying. They've lost a customer and I'll be patronizing the custard...
