Horrible experience. I’ve been to this location several times where Darrian is always amazing. However, this time was a nightmare. My server which I didn’t catch her name was great. She was nice a diligent. She took our order and gave it to Traveon which whom I’ve never seen before. I got my order and three different items were wrong. She got my bacon re cooked with no problem. However the steak I ordered was very tough. I told her and she then told the cook Traveon. He told her to give him the plate and put a thermometer in the steak I had already touch and eaten off of inside of the steak and put it back on the top shelf. He then started to argue that the it was a decent temp (in which he never cleaned off, after I had my fork inside of the steak) ( cross contamination). I had already told him that it was suppose to be medium and it tasted well done and that I couldn’t cut it. He continues to go back and fourth as if he is high off of something. After about 10/15 of this my friend tells him he is very much so wrong. He continues to go back and fourth. I find out that he has has serval complaints . I was urged to contact the GM. He then calls the police. He is so high that gives them a random customer’s license plate. . Mind you this interaction should have never happened while only speaking to the very sweet server. I asked the server who was the on call or acting manger she tells me Brook. He starts to yell at her in front of my self and other customers that end up leaving. He tells her you are going to be fired for giving out that info. You do know there are polices you are going to be fired he repeats while she is trying to answer my question on the matter. Very horrible customer service for someone who works in Southlake in customer service. Police comes out and he tells them that he is the acting manager. He tells them we are trespassing and a bunch of other lies. I do not recommend anyone be treated in this manner. I have been to this location serval times over 4 years and have never gotten this treatment. This seemed racial. To order food and have to argue with the cook for whatever reason makes no sense when the only person you should be conversing with is your acting server. This location has went down bad. If you want to enjoy good food and not be harassed by the cook I recommend you go to a different Waffle House. No manger on duty. Police also converse that the other male server or cook on dirt let them know on their came that he started it all for no reason. It makes we wonder how many other customers have had encounters with him. He is bad for business. So I am now somehow ban/trespassing for 2 years. Simply off a drugged cooked whom has horrible customer...
Read moreLet me start with saying- I lost my Fantasy Football league and had the pleasure of spending 24 hours in a Waffle House (caveat- for every waffle consumed, an hour was shaved off). I searched all over the metroplex for a reputable Waffle House that didn’t make me nervous being there by myself; I’d also never been to a Waffle House and only heard the bad things (as one does with most 24hr diners… doesn’t every scary movie have a 24 hr diner in it?)
When I saw this location had a 4.6 rating AND was mentioned to have cleanliness in several reviews- I took my chance and glad I did! How bad was this day going to be? A whole day to myself, eating waffles (Leslie Knope Style), and uninterrupted time working on projects that needed to be completed?! Little did I know, Sunday after Church is a busy time with a revolving door of patrons; being greeted immediately by several of the team, I was happy to sit and settle in at the bar and explain my situation to the team. I was met with perplexity by some by chuckles by most, I wasn’t their first they said 😊.
I sat there for a couple hours, mesmerized by the efficiency of how they did everything. Verbal order calls, meticulous plating, not rushing or looking flustered, greeting their regulars, starting on side work as their sections cleared up, and even coming to get more deets on this punishment and how was I going to play the game: waffles or time? As the brunch crowd dissipated, I took over a booth and settled in with my computer and 4th waffle 😵💫. A few hours went by, shift changed and new team members were let in my story; my family met me and had waffles - they had cute little hats for kids to wear! My team was nice and allowed for waffles to be donated and consumed by others to count!
All in all, I sat there 8 hours ate 5 waffles, plus my family has their meals, and never once felt a pinch of annoyance that someone was taking up space for so long. The morning shift checked in on me and I even got to speak with the team about Waffle House culture and shift schedules, and really witnessed the comradery between them all; the 2nd shift crew were like old friends chatting about pies and plans for the week but also knocking out their responsibilities and side work early!
Thanks to this team- I am a Waffle House fan and will most definitely be back (maybe for a staycation day again to...
Read moreI had a horrible experience today at the Waffle House me and my family set at four different tables. The table that I was sitting at we never received our drink order. Everybody else did we waited longer than everybody else other people that was with us already have their food was already done with their food. We were still waiting for our food that we never received it took a long time. The bacon they brought out was overcooked It was burnt. We had to send it back. Everybody food came out piece by took forever to get certain items. But everybody at my table had received their waffle, and I still didn’t have my waffle at all. I had ordered a blueberry waffle. Finally, somebody from the other table, which was in my family had told them that I never received my waffle. when they finally got me a waffle. It was the original one and I had asked for the blueberry one.. I asked them to put it in the to go container they did that, but I wish I would’ve opened it before I left Waffle House because I came home to an undercook doughy waffle. It’s not even eatable I’m not happy at all, and I had already paid for everything even though I still haven’t received my waffle. I also paid for somebody else so the bill in total was $30 and I just feel like i should’ve been discounted. Nobody ever apologize or anything. It was just a horrible experience. It was literally nobody inside of the waffle house. We were the only ones basically in there at the time the service was just horrible. I never experienced this before and I will not recommend this place to nobody else because This is really bad. I can’t even enjoy this waffle because it’s not done. I shouldn’t have to come home and re-cook my food because waffle Waffle House didn’t it...
