RACIST AND DISRESPECTFUL

if you’re black do yourself a favor and go to the Popeyes down the street. These people are racist, Rude and disrespectful.

This is my last experience and I will not be back. I entered the restaurant to pickup an online order for my boyfriend and there was a Hispanic women walking in behind me. The employee named Erick greeted and assisted the woman behind me as if I wasn’t standing there. She came in and asked for a refund for her food and he gave her a little bit of attitude but ultimately did what she asked. After he was done with her I asked “ can I be helped now” and he proceeds to tell me I need to wait. I then informed him I am just picking up an order. He hands me my order and proceeds on to do other things. I asked for an extra sauce and he tells me it’s $0.29. So I say never mind. I then ask him name because the interaction with him had been most unpleasant. He then tells me his name and says what else can he do for me I say I don’t need anything else from him and he proceeds to say he wasn’t going to help me anyway and proceeded to get more hostile and speaks Spanish in his microphone to the rest of his crew. I then ask for the number to corporate and he responded with I’m not giving you that you can look for it. So at this point I ask for a refund because the constant disrespect is uncalled for especially when all I needed to do was pick up an online order. He refused to refund me or even talk to me anymore he kept helping other people and ignored me completely so I called the police to come and mediate since I was being completely ignore and treated like trash since I walked into the restaurant. The police came and then he finally decided to talk and act like he had common sense. He tells the officer he can’t refund me because it’s an online order and it needed to be refunded through the app. The sergeant ask the other officer did Erick explain why there was no more interaction between us and why he was ignoring me and the officer said no he just thinks he was just being rude to me. Tonight, my family and I decided to grab dinner from Popeyes—a rare treat for us since we hadn’t had it in a while and were excited for something quick and tasty. We placed an order for tenders, fries, 3 spicy chicken, mashed potatoes, extra side of gray and a chicken sandwich. I didn’t mind the 12-minute wait, as I assumed this meant our food would be hot and fresh. I paid with my card at the drive-through and, unfortunately, did not receive a receipt.

When we got home—about a 9-minute drive—I discovered that my chicken sandwich and side of gray was missing from the order. Frustrated but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I drove back to Popeyes to either receive a refund or my sandwich. What followed was unacceptable.

The employee at the window informed me that the manager was not available and that I would need to come back tomorrow to request a refund. I was stunned. This is completely unreasonable. He then offered to have my sandwich remade.

While waiting, I observed the kitchen team. The staff member preparing my sandwich was also handling drive-through orders, which was concerning but manageable. However, things took a disturbing turn when another employee—who had just been working on a PVC pipe in the back, with water and steam flowing everywhere—came up, pushed the man out of the way, and made my sandwich with no gloves on and soaking wet hands.

Let me be clear: I witnessed a person go from fixing plumbing directly to handling food—no gloves, no handwashing. Absolutely unacceptable and a clear health code violation.

I am appalled. How is this location still in operation? How has it passed any sort of inspection or health rating?

This is not just about bad service. It’s about basic health and food safety. After reviewing others’ experiences at this location, it’s clear my incident is not isolated. This location needs to be reviewed, inspected, and held accountable for its complete disregard for public health and customer service.

Needless to say, I will never return to this Popeyes. But more importantly, I urge local health authorities or corporate management to take immediate action. This level of negligence cannot be allowed...

This place is so horrible. I wouldn't have given this place 1 star if I didn't have to. This place doesn't deserve any stars. I've been to this place 4 times and it haven't gotten better. I wanted to like this place so bad because its literally right down the road from my apartment. The first time I went, an employee that was taking orders was sweating and complaining about how hot it was. The second time I went, they threw my box of food in a bag upside down and the food was everywhere. The third time I went, they gave me little to no food and forgot to give me a biscuit. Today I went for the fourth time and the girl at the window gave me the wrong order. I ordered the popcorn shrimp basket and when I received my order I told her this wasn't the popcorn shrimp and she stated it was. I drove all the way back to my house, started eating and was very disappointed to find out that I was given popcorn chicken. I never ordered popcorn chicken, I ordered popcorn shrimp. I drove back to popeyes and asked for my money to be returned. I was highly upset and disappointed because it seem like the people they have working there is very unprofessional and doesn't care about customer service. You would think since that is a new location and its convenient for others and probably them that they would have better attitudes and be more professional. Every time I have went to popeyes, the employees are looking like they hate their jobs or complaining. It make me wonder how sanitary the food and place are with people which such attitudes. I will not be coming back to this location. They need better staff working around people's food. The location is bad. The parking lot is very small. It's hard to get in the parking lot because of how the parking lot is built. There are hardly any parking spots. I give up on this location.
