Starbucks — Restaurant in Bee Cave

Normally have a decent experience here but the barista this morning was incredibly rude. Placed order on app 5-6 minutes before getting there since I didn't have time to wait.

When I got there I noticed my drinks ready on the mobile pickup stand, but it was moved to the back countertop. I've seen this before, but there normally is someone there asking people for their name and giving them their drinks. There wasn't anyone there today and my drinks were the only ones on the pickup stand. I stood near the pickup area a minute or so before asking the cashier lady if I should just grab my drinks. She clearly heard me but ignored me (which is fine, since she had a guy in line getting ready to order in front of her).

After about 30 more seconds, the Barista lady walks over and shoos me away from the pick up area saying "you can't be over here" and that I should walk over to the other side of the store where she was and ask her for my drinks. I told her it was a mobile order and I was standing in front of the "mobile order pick-up" sign in their shop and had been there close to 2 minutes waiting already. If you have been to this location for mobile pick-up, you know they keep the sign right where they walk behind the counter (Bad location for that sign, needs to be moved). I suggested they keep mobile order drinks at the mobile order pick-up sign like every other location does. She had the audacity to say "Take it up with corporate if you like" and point to the door. I should have got her name but I didn't really want to talk with her after this. I said "thank you" and left.

Should be easy to figure out who was in the store at 6:40 am on 3/13/2019, should that be needed.

Just rude. Maybe she didn't like that I was sweaty from just getting out of the gym or maybe she didn't like the color of my skin, but I'm to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was just having a bad morning.

This is a walk-in only store. Advice to other customers, get the app and pre-order your drinks/food when you're 5-10 minutes away. It will save you a lot of hassle. You can customize all the drinks to your preference.

I like this Starbucks much more than the one in Lakeway, even though I wish the hours would go back to what they were. This store makes what I like, how I like it, 99% of the time.

Occasionally someone will get too overzealous, or underzealous, with the scoops or syrups and I'll have to throw the drink away. Or they'll put in something that is requested to be left out of my drink and I'll get sick due to intolerances, or something will taste bad. It happens. Though it seems to happen more so in the mornings than evenings. Probably because they're insanely busy? Consistency in any made to order food or beverage is important. Especially with as pricey as these are.

Most everyone at this store is super nice.

Some important advice I'd like to give to the baristas here is: it's always better to do less sweetener, if you're not sure, than too much; if someone requests extra scoops of anything, it's based on the NORMAL size scoop (for example, if someone wants 3 scoops of chocolate malt powder instead of the default of 2, please don't do 3 heaping scoops). Please don't short the drinks. I've had, occasionally, where the cup was only 3/4 full. At least add more milk, or...

This location still struggles now and again to just keep a few bakery items in stock if it's after 3 or 4pm! Not everyone works 8 to 5pm. Most of the time, the more popular bakery items are not restocked after that early afternoon time frame. It really doesn't make sense because they can just remove a few more from the freezer! I know the staff has to be cognitive of the lack of products. You walk in at 3pm, and there's maybe 2 or 3 sad little items in the case.This area is really growing in population and this Starbucks needs to take note of that. Just look at the traffic in this area now. Unfortunately, I find myself going a bit farther out of my way to the Lakeway location more often now.
