Sams in Searcy Is the best ! They are not the same as the one in searcy
I ate at the one in beebe Sunday 8/30/23 A Distasteful Dining Disappointment Rating: 1/5 Stars 0 if I could rate them
From the moment I walked into this establishment, my experience was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. Sams in Beebe was a haunting maze of false promises and deceit, hidden behind a charming facade.
The initial greeting was warm and inviting, but that was the end of the pleasantries. The staff, who were quick to assure us of their professionalism and excellent service, turned out to be a troupe of well-rehearsed liars.
The menu, a glossy testament to tasteless exaggeration, promised a gastronomic journey that would "excite the senses". However, the reality was a far cry from this. The dishes, although eloquently described, were bland, uninspiring and poorly presented. A child's play kitchen could have produced more enticing fare.
The supposedly 'fresh' ingredients tasted suspiciously like they were several days past their prime
Perhaps the worst part of the experience was the sheer audacity of the staff. When we pointed out the discrepancies, they shrugged it off, claiming that our palates were 'not sophisticated enough' to appreciate their culinary efforts. This was not just a blow to our dining experience, but also a personal insult.
The service was painfully slow, with vacant smiles and hollow apologies for the wait. The staff seemed more interested in their own conversations than in serving their customers.
In summary, this restaurant was a masterclass in deceit, serving up a symphony of lies with a side of sub-par cuisine. It's safe to say I won't be returning, and I urge others to steer clear of this establishment. The only thing this restaurant seems to excel in is hoodwinking...
Read moreSam's is the quintessential Southern eatery experience, and they really need better exposure. We were about to bypass the whole of Beebe because our initial search didn't populate for seafood in Beebe. We've never been more grateful for a forced detour! We redid the search for just "food" right where we were, and Bam! Sam's popped up.
Online ordering wasn't working, so we swung into the parking lot and hopped inside to do a takeout order. Since everything is made fresh to order, it took a little bit, but we didn't mind since the staff were so warm and friendly. Almost too soon our livers, gizzards, and crabcakes were ready to go and piping hot. So hot, in fact, that I burned my mouth on the crabcakes. I didn't mind the burn so much, though, since the joy of the flavor was way more intense. The taste gets even better when they cool down a little.
OMG! The portions were as generous as the staff were warm and friendly. Three days later we were still finishing leftovers (which were still tasty I might add)! These appetizer staples came only as meals, and we're rather glad they did since the sides were surprisingly scrumptious. Especially the red beans and rice! I've been trying to get the better-half to try red beans and rice for YEARS, and the dish at Sam's smelled so good I finally got him to take a bite. Now red beans and rice is a new favorite side for him.
So very worth a stop! Such a good value...
Read moreDecided to try this location out which was a mistake. Nowhere near the quality or friendliness of the one in Searcy. The best part of our experience was being greeted when first walking in. We were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant being they had just opened. I ordered the 4 piece catfish platter with hush puppies and fries along with an extra side of hush puppies, my wife ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy, and hush puppies. When our waitress brought our food the mashed potatoes were missing the gravy, one of the other waitresses had to let our waitress know that it should have gravy on it. My catfish platter didn’t come with lemons so I asked for some. Apparently they had to cut different lemons than what was in the front cooler that you can see since those were for drinks. They also charged for the lemons. But the best part of the whole experience was that we got to eat at the same time that the waitresses ate!! Two of the waitresses were eating at the first table with customers a table...
