came here for a 19 top birthday dinner. When making the reservation I specifically asked if they were ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE that many people which they proceeded to say yes. Upon arriving, we realized that they were not able to accommodate this many people at all. They told us last minute that we would have to sit in front of the music because that was the only place they were able to accommodate us and if that was fine obviously we had no other choice. Where else are we gonna find a restaurant that takes 19 people? The music was super loud and they were not coordinated at all. The food runner, young female was extremely rude. She made multiple ugly faces at us. The server was better, but not by much. They all had an attitude and were mad at us because we couldn’t hear what they were saying. I suggest if you are going to sit a huge table right next to the music to at least accommodate them by telling the musicians to pause the music for a bit while orders are taken. I did not appreciate having to scream into the server’s ear while taking my order It was both frustrating for her and I. I understand why they were frustrated, because we were too, but making faces and sighing directly into our face is extremely unprofessional. Bill was around $1000. Food was great but they kept bringing out random food and didn’t know where it went. but everybody did end up eating at different times because nothing came out at the same time. I understand with big tables not all food is going to come at the same time, but there was definitely some ways they could’ve held it off. Expo could’ve told line cooks to hold off sushi while hamburgers were being made, but they did not clearly because sushi came out a couple minutes after our order was placed. I also suggest in putting seats numbers or at least a note section so you know if the food is for a booth or not because aside from the food runner coming out with a horrible attitude, she didn’t even know where she was going. The server also did not repeat any of our orders to make sure anything was correct so there was a lot of complications, especially with the 19 top i think it’s crucial to repeat the order especially when you can’t even hear what they’re ordering. Overall, aside from the food, everything else was not great and for $1000 we were disappointed. We were not even able to talk about each other because the music was so loud. Owner really needs to make sure their workers do not bring that horrible attitude into the work environment because it very much can ruin somebody’s experience and they should also look into how loud the music is because that definitely takes a huge part in their attitude
EDIT: I also find it crazy they charged us $136 for a large party which is something people charge when they’re able to take a large party, but they weren’t even able to take us all. I am also noticing they charged us five horchatas when we returned three of them because we did not enjoy them and exchange them for a soda mind you the drinks were completely filled because we did not like...
Read moreUnfortunately my experience was not a good one on my first visit to this restaurant. It was very unorganized, only had 1 person as a hostess/ seating people, a lot of guests didn't know they had to be placed on the wait list so they would instead just stand behind others as if making a line and just waited to be seated, it wasn't until finally the hostess walked down the line screaming and asking people if they had put their name on the guest list and instead of going in order she was adding whoever came to her not acknowledging that there were ppl there that had been waiting longer. Once me and my party were finally seated we weren't informed that they had online menus that we had to look at until we put 2 and 2 together and saw that their tables had QR codes that led you to their online menu. Not all the codes worked unfortunately, making things even more annoying. We had already waited about an hour to be seated and we waited about 20 more minutes for someone to come take our order! We hadn't even been offered water! Finally I had to flag someone down, he seemed to be either a supervisor or manager because once I told him we had been waiting a very long time and no one had come to take our order he seemed in awe that they hadn't. Finally a waiter comes, starts taking our order and another waitress comes and makes a very passive aggressive comment to the waiter taking our order about how he took her table! That made things a little awkward and tense and we were already upset and unsatisfied. At one point the waiter even argued with me about the menu item I ordered as there was confusion with the name he knew it as and the name as it appeared on the menu! As we were finishing our meal we, again, waited about 15 minutes for the waiter to come around our table so we could ask for the check. He never once came over to ask how things were! We had to ask someone else to bring our check, another 10 minutes to be charged out... in the end, very unsatisfying experience, will definitely not be returning. As far a the food goes, 1 of the dishes was good, the other was just ok. I didn't order any of their rolls just cold plates which were decent. The drink I posted was a frozen tamarind margarita, it looks prettier than it tasted... very artificial, wouldn't...
Read moreAnd if I was able to i would give it 0 stars! we have more then 3 years coming here and we loved ig we didn't care waiting or any delays but yesterday we went witb some high school friends and they paid with a 100 dollar bill that was a bit old but it was REAL well they asked us for another bill and we were like what !!!! it was an insult for us why would we cary fake bills the 4 off us work with money we know about fake money. well my friends and myself were really upset and I just handed out another new 100 dollar bill after they had marked all over with the marker. we were literally arguing for about a good 20 minutes and the only person who agreed that the bill was real was the security and thats why he did not even take us out. we asked for the managers number and the guu there saying it was fake was the manger so we asked for the owners number and the manager took long to five it to us he didn't even want us to get close to his phone well it turned out it was a fax number !! we went to the bank machines to put in the 100 dollars that were fake and we recorded how the 100 dollars where real and the machine got them right away!!! This is not going to stay like this we don't understand how they can not tell apart a fake bill from a real one. we said this has never happened to us before and they said well to us either like really thats why they are so extra and desconfiados. it was literally like the manager maybe about 2 of 3 hosts and the waitress and the security so about 5 people there. all talking about it was fake except the security he said it was real. we all felt...
