It’s with a heavy heart I write this tonight, seeing it is on my birthday but it needs to be said. A few years ago, i came here to eat with my uncle and cousin (who’s like a sister to me) for the first time after school. Then one day it got removed never to be seen again until months later i found out it was being reconstructed and moved to a different location but near the old one. They say you’ll never be betrayed by an enemy bc you expect it but from a friend the agony cannot be felt any stronger! Fast forward to present day, it’s officially strike 3 for me and i will no longer be coming back and it hurts to say this bc i really enjoy what you lot have to bring to the table (no pun intended). But i cannot turn my cheek the other way after being done over time and time again with the wrong order. Usually 3 strikes means 1-2-3 however i loved you so much bc y’all were my fav restaurant in the entire solar system and i mentioned it to you every single time i came in. And i even gave you the benefit of the doubt after the 1st time my order messed up and grace on the 2nd time, and even the little mishaps in between. I was giving 1.5-2-2.5-3 strikes and tonight was the last straw. Tonight of all nights, on my day of birth, 23 years of existence. To be given the wrong order from the one place I thought “no, they wouldn’t let me down, not tonight, of all days it could not be tonight” you thought, “eh, today wouldn’t hurt if i gave them fettuccini pasta instead of rotini pasta” after I specifically put in the instructions rotini with a fat please in all caps (tears man jajaja). It’s always been rotini man and tonight i just couldn’t do it anymore. I’m sorry, i wish you all the best but tonight you lost a good one. I give y’all 5 stars tonight as a token of my gratitude and appreciation after all your years of putting a smile on my face and my final nail in the coffin. Thank you, much love, and Godspeed. Arrivederci...
Read moreIt saddens me to give this place 2 stars. I have eaten here my entire life. I used to come here as a kid after Bellaire little league baseball. Right after high school I even worked as a server here. I used to come here all the time for crawfish ravioli and the house tea is delicious. At that time this place was amazing with impeccable service and quality food. My new issue may be the result of the pandemic though. I know a lot of small restaurants/businesses took a bit during the pandemic. However, ever since the pandemic the quality has gone down significantly on numerous dining visits. My wife and I ordered two pizzas to go. We got home and the pizzas were still doughy/undercooked and there was barely any tomato sauce on the pizzas. The next visit my wife and I dined in. I ordered crawfish ravioli with extra sauce and my wife got plain lasagna. The waitress instead put extra sauce on my wife's lasagna instead of the ravioli. My wife's lasagna was swimming in sauce. Not a big deal. It was corrected and all was good. Then on our next visit we ordered the same thing -ravioli and lasagna. The waiter was great. He brought us out an interesting looking salad with artichokes and olives with homemade italian dressing. He said that it was an "extra salad" that they made and didn't want to throw it away. However no one else around us was eating salad. So I hope it wasn't just old. My wife and I went home and her and I were sick to our stomachs for the whole night. I will not say it was for sure due to something we ate at Auntie Pastas. I do not want to slander my fav restaurant I have been going to since I was a child. However, I just wanted to share my recent negative experiences. My wife and I literally live 2 blocks away and unfortunately due to these recent experiences we have chosen to not return for a while. I truly hope it...
Read moreHave eaten here and thoroughly enjoyed many meals here over the years. However tonight was a disaster. Maybe it was just a new inexperienced waiter, And maybe we had too many people for him to keep up. We had a table of 10, which we had reserved. We were seated promptly. It went downhill from there. Our waiter was slow, inattentive, and couldn’t remember half of the orders, even though he wrote them all down. After taking forever to get drinks and appetizers, we ordered and the food began to come out of the kitchen on reasonable time. But after the seventh person was served no more food came out. After a long wait someone came to the table and said our food would be ready in 4 minutes. Ten minutes later one dish came out and we weee still waiting for food for two people. I approached the owner or manager, not sure mwjich he was. He went to the kitchen and about 10 or fifteen minutes after that, we finally were served the final two dishes. By this time the waiter had begun cleaning the plates from our table while I was just beginning to eat. I asked the waiter why our food was not prepared with everyone else’s. He made an excuse about the kitchen being backed up. That was not the truth and not the right thing for him to say. The manager never came to the table to check on us or to apologize for their mishandling our table. When I got the bill, there were items on the bill that were not ours. I had to tell the waiter to correct the bill. I paid for everything we ordered, although I would have expected them not to charge for the two orders that were delivered to the table after everyone else on our party had already finished eating. Needless to say I will NEVER return to this old longtime favorite. The owner needs to learn to treat customers better and make a bad...
