Second time ordering: so today I ordered breakfast and a side of cream cheese for almost 4$ and guess who didn’t get it?! ME! These people don’t pay attention to anything yet want to charge these prices and they purposely don’t let you buy single serving of strawberry. They force you to buy larger if that’s that’s the flavor you want I’m tired of wasting my money when these are my only options to eat! I ordered the breakfast special with two eggs, a bagel, and fruit. I get my food and it’s clogged with cream cheese instead of cream cheese being on the side like normal people do. I’m glad to the point you can’t even toast your bagel if you wanted to because they think it’s OK to put large amount of stuff on there. To make it worse, the cinnamon bagel they put your bag directly on top of your eggs so did my bagel come soggy at the bottom my eggs came with cinnamon and sugar on top. Food is way too high to be playing these games. I had to scrape a large amount of cream cheese off. The bagels you order done even come cut!!!!!! I’m over this place already

Finally found awesome bagel in a reasonably driving distance in Houston! I got my bagel and cream cheese fix today and wondering what took me so long to drive down to Bellaire and try this place. They have an assorted variety of bagels divided into savory and sweet: I got Rye šŸ˜‹ & sesame for savory and rainbow and challah bagel (yes challah bagels 🤩 which was divine), a whole challah and a slice of marble cake plus chocolate chip (this one was my least favorite), honey nut, and regular cream cheese. Bagels were soft inside, and each had a different and distinct flavor unlike those grocery store ones that are only labeled different names but all taste the same (read: are tasteless) There are a few tables inside but my order was to go so I can’t speak for dine-in service. There were quite a few other customers and they all looked to be enjoying their meal. They also have a fridge with some other items and drinks as well. This is a fuss free casual establishment! I highly recommend them and will be back for some hot toasted breakfast bagel.

Disappointed & reserved judgement... I ordered the Latkes Supreme, they were a mushy hot mess. Unfortunately they were starchy gummy, and not crunchy. The two young ladies at the counter were more focused on labeling cream cheese. Not the friendliest or even slightly personable. I don't expect a super bubbly greeting, but an acknowledgement would have been nice. I was looking around trying to figure out where the menu was at since the TV menu board was off/out. They didn't offer any help or even talk to me until I was ready to order. I seemed to be interrupting their morning. Same thing with the next customer. I did get some eclairs which I haven't had yet. They do look really good. I will go back I'm not going to give my complete judgment on a BAGEL place and not try the bagels! My office is less than a mile away and my coworkers say the bagels are amazing. However the $20 and tip (cause I'm always going to tip, come on people) left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The Bagel Shop was a wonderful establishment, with delicious Bagels and bakery good, and I have been going there, and even ordering for shipment, for three years (whenever I am in Houston). Today, I had quite an awful experience. I called yesterday and placed an order for a few dozen bagels to take back to San Antonio for pickup this morning at 10:30. When I arrived at 10:45, I was told that ā€œthey are in the oven and will be ready in 30 minutes.ā€ So, I decided to order breakfast and just wait. I ordered my favorite, the Breakfast Bagel (has watermelon radish) and a coffee, and was told they would bring it to me next door. After 30 minutes waiting in an empty ā€œnext doorā€ I went back to see if I could at least get the coffee. To my surprise, the Breakfast Bagel was packaged and had been sitting there, and they graciously poured me a coffee. So, back next door I went, and when I opened the sandwich, it was nowhere near the usual excellent presentation. The Swiss cheese was missing, the egg fried super hard and cold, and the avocado ā€œslicesā€ were now a pasty mess. Worst of all, the radish was last it’s prime.

So, after drinking my coffee, I went back to collect my $50 worth of bagels (an hour had now passed), and was told they were not ready, and they needed another hour. Having to get on the road, I had to refuse, so I took some bagels that were on hand and asked for a refund for the rest…..which the server could not give but had to ā€œtext her manager.ā€ Now back in San Antonio, I have yet to receive the promised ā€œrefund.ā€

I know food service shops are having difficulties getting good employees, and hopefully this is a one-time experience. But I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was disappointed and angry. But, I will give them another chance next...
