The Bagel Shop was a wonderful establishment, with delicious Bagels and bakery good, and I have been going there, and even ordering for shipment, for three years (whenever I am in Houston). Today, I had quite an awful experience. I called yesterday and placed an order for a few dozen bagels to take back to San Antonio for pickup this morning at 10:30. When I arrived at 10:45, I was told that âthey are in the oven and will be ready in 30 minutes.â So, I decided to order breakfast and just wait. I ordered my favorite, the Breakfast Bagel (has watermelon radish) and a coffee, and was told they would bring it to me next door. After 30 minutes waiting in an empty ânext doorâ I went back to see if I could at least get the coffee. To my surprise, the Breakfast Bagel was packaged and had been sitting there, and they graciously poured me a coffee. So, back next door I went, and when I opened the sandwich, it was nowhere near the usual excellent presentation. The Swiss cheese was missing, the egg fried super hard and cold, and the avocado âslicesâ were now a pasty mess. Worst of all, the radish was last itâs prime.
So, after drinking my coffee, I went back to collect my $50 worth of bagels (an hour had now passed), and was told they were not ready, and they needed another hour. Having to get on the road, I had to refuse, so I took some bagels that were on hand and asked for a refund for the restâŠ..which the server could not give but had to âtext her manager.â Now back in San Antonio, I have yet to receive the promised ârefund.â
I know food service shops are having difficulties getting good employees, and hopefully this is a one-time experience. But Iâd be lying if I didnât say I was disappointed and angry. But, I will give them another chance next...
Read moreSecond time ordering: so today I ordered breakfast and a side of cream cheese for almost 4$ and guess who didnât get it?! ME! These people donât pay attention to anything yet want to charge these prices and they purposely donât let you buy single serving of strawberry. They force you to buy larger if thatâs thatâs the flavor you want
Iâm tired of wasting my money when these are my only options to eat!
I ordered the breakfast special with two eggs, a bagel, and fruit. I get my food and itâs clogged with cream cheese instead of cream cheese being on the side like normal people do. Iâm glad to the point you canât even toast your bagel if you wanted to because they think itâs OK to put large amount of stuff on there.
To make it worse, the cinnamon bagel they put your bag directly on top of your eggs so did my bagel come soggy at the bottom my eggs came with cinnamon and sugar on top.
Food is way too high to be playing these games. I had to scrape a large amount of cream cheese off.
The bagels you order done even come cut!!!!!! Iâm over this...

I got my bagel and cream cheese fix today and wondering what took me so long to drive down to Bellaire and try this place.
They have an assorted variety of bagels divided into savory and sweet: I got Rye đ & sesame for savory and rainbow and challah bagel (yes challah bagels đ€© which was divine), a whole challah and a slice of marble cake plus chocolate chip (this one was my least favorite), honey nut, and regular cream cheese. Bagels were soft inside, and each had a different and distinct flavor unlike those grocery store ones that are only labeled different names but all taste the same (read: are tasteless)
There are a few tables inside but my order was to go so I canât speak for dine-in service. There were quite a few other customers and they all looked to be enjoying their meal.
They also have a fridge with some other items and drinks as well. This is a fuss free casual establishment! I highly recommend them and will be back for some hot toasted...
