I went to PHO BEN on Bellaire at 11 AM, and while the service during the meal was fine, I was wrongfully charged for an extra Vietnamese coffee I never ordered, never received, and never drank. When I called to have the issue corrected, I dealt with someone named “Park” (or something like that), who was not only rude but also completely unwilling to resolve the mistake.
Even though they did not give me a receipt, my order was clearly visible in their system. Instead of simply fixing the issue, I was told that I needed to bring back the person who actually ordered the coffee so they could pay for theirs before issuing my refund. That is not my responsibility. I should not have to track someone down just so the restaurant can balance their register after an error they made.
I repeatedly asked for a refund for the extra charge, yet he refused to work with me and even tried to guilt-trip me by saying that if the other customer didn’t come in and pay, the money would come out of his paycheck. That should never be a customer’s concern. If the restaurant was so worried about their cash register being accurate, maybe they should have gotten the order right in the first place.
To make matters worse, I was told that it was my responsibility to ask for a receipt, not theirs to provide one. When I pointed out that the cashier never asked if I wanted one, I was dismissed and told that I had “no proof.” That is an unacceptable excuse. We specifically asked for separate checks before ordering, confirmed our individual orders at the register, and yet they still got it wrong.
The food? It was fine—decent portions, decent presentation. But none of that matters when customer service is this poor. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and refunding the money I was wrongfully charged, they doubled down and refused to take accountability. “Park” spoke to me as if I were the problem and made it clear there was no intention of making this right. He even told me that I could return at 8 PM to talk to the manager, but that the manager would tell me the same thing.
Let me be very clear: I was charged for something I never received, denied a refund, and then blamed for their mistake. Whether it’s a dollar or a hundred dollars, refusing to correct an overcharge is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I won’t be coming back, and I’d strongly advise others to consider this before spending...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of experiencing outstanding customer service in Houston that truly exceeded my expectations! Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the wait time was only 15 to 30 minutes, which felt perfectly reasonable given the establishment's popularity.
The atmosphere inside was a soothing blend of soft music and warm lighting, creating an incredibly peaceful environment that set the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience.
When the dishes arrived, I was struck by the beautifully crafted presentation. Each plate was an artful arrangement of colors and textures, making it almost too beautiful to eat—truly a feast for the eyes. The beverages were just as impressive; they were refreshing and carefully mixed, leaving my mouth watering and my belly smiling with satisfaction.
As for the food, I decided to take the plunge and try pho for the very first time. I can confidently say that it was a remarkable decision—this flavorful soup is an absolute must-try! The rich broth was infused with fresh herbs and spices, making each slurp a delightful burst of flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone considering dining here, and I am already planning my return visit for more!
And don’t overlook the array of sauces; they are essential in elevating the meal to another level of deliciousness. The combination of fresh fruits and vegetables with the succulent broth and perfectly cooked noodles created an unforgettable experience. Everything was fresh, from the vibrant veggies to the aromatic broth—truly, you can taste the quality...
Read moreFood so good we forgot to take pictures! My wife found this place from a local foodie influencer. We drove over half an hour to get here to try the food. I ordered Pho with tendon, rare beef, brisket, and meatballs. The tendon is very soft and good not too chewy. The meatballs were very good quality. The brisket is average. The rare beef was average. The broth was top notch. It reminded me of only one other place that used to exist on Bellaire Blvd called Pho Bàng in the old DiHo Shopping center near ranchester. That was when Pho was the best!!! This place is super close to that nostalgic child hood taste! My wife ordered the red ketchup fried rice with fried tofu and it was very good. Ketchup fried rice is an old school thing and from decades ago where my parents use to take me when I was a kid in the 80s. Not many serve ketchup fried rice anymore. My wife got the soda chanh or lemon soda and it was good! I asked if their soybean drink was canned or jug fresh made and they said it was the jug fresh made they get from a local market so I ordered it and it is good too! The green leaf colored soybean drink. We also ordered the grilled pork spring rolls and it came with a peanuts with peanut sauce dip that was really awesome! Would highly recommend this place and will come back in the future! Next time I’m going to try their Bún Bò Huế since a table behind us ordered one and they make their Pho authentic they should be making other dishes...
