Mama Mia's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Belle Isle

Wow where do I start with this review... with much excitement to write this review I cannot express how amazing the service and food was! I went in with my husband and we ordered the two slice and drink special which I cannot tell you enough how amazingly priced this deal is ! The pizza was amazing!! And the service I would have to say was one of the best service I have ever had ! Kevin was truly a pleasure and inspiration to talk to! All smiles and laughter me and my husband could sit there and talk all night with him if we could! Not only did we enjoy the food but Kevin told us a little about the family business and it’s amazing history and talked about his family who he just shined with happiness to talk about especially his wife! business owners starting out like ourselves Kevin truly inspired us.... during these unpredictable times we hit a bump on the road and Kevin gave us the inspiration we needed to hear.... he reminded me and my husband the value of sticking together and making choices together and trusting each other to make the right choices.... his words hit home I almost wanted to cry but had to hold back. With much gratitude and thankfulness I can truly say I pray Kevin is abundantly blessed in life and that he continues to shine the way he does.....we need more people in this world like him! Thank you so much for the great food and most of all igniting that fire within us to keep pushing forward stay blessed & healthy...

I’ve been coming to Mama Mia’s for some time now over the last 6 yrs. Usually I order delivery but occasionally I will dine in and grab a couple slices and a drink no problem but today was different. The guy behind the counter making the pizzas was really rude towards me. He had a problem with my Ms. Marvel Funko Pop shirt. “I will give you the two slices free if you burn that shirt right now.” At first I was caught off guard and didn’t know what to say but then I stood my ground against him. I asked if he just didn’t like brown superheroes as I was a Latino proud to support another hero of color. He backtracked and tried to say the comics he hated of her and how she was such a terrible character but I could care less of his opinion on the matter and tried to ignore him but he kept going on and on about it. This is the first time having such a bad experience there in person that I will never return again. If you’re local and want to support another pizza business I suggest Napoli...

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to Orlando. We left less than impressed. I ordered a chef salad and pizza by the slice. My salad was nothing but huge chunks of iceberg lettuce and chunks of deli ham. My pizza was hard a brick. So hard that I couldn’t cut it with my knife. It reminded me of the frozen Walmart pizzas. Yes, we eat them at home but I don’t care for them when I’m going out for a nice meal. My husband ordered a house salad and the lasagna. His salad was the same way, huge chunks of lettuce. His lasagna lacked any type of seasoning and came out after my 5 year old and I had finished our entire meal. The waitress was not helpful at all. I asked for recommendations and questions about the menu. She acted like I was stupid with her responses. We didn’t get refills and she never checked on us. I had already went to the car with 2 kids, changed the baby’s diaper, and cleaned the trash out of the car before my husband was given the ticket to pay. I definitely do...
