I placed my order through Uber eats. It was left at my door. I grabbed it as soon as I was notified ( so I'm assuming I was notified right after it was delivered) Right away I noticed the plastic bag looked funny/ messed with but I'm not one to jump to conclusions based on assumptions, only facts. That being said I called the restaurant to see if they could remember bagging my order .(the handle broken then tied in a knot.) If so no big deal. Just wanted to confirm that it hadn't been messed with. Maybe they forgot to put something in the bag ,so they reopened it then retied it. Unfortunately the phone rang without answer which lead to a voicemail. I voiced my concerns. The meal I purchased was for my 76yr old neighbor that hasn't been well and I wanted to make sure he was eating. I fix him a plate ( small portion) at that point I hadn't noticed the large foreign plastic object in the collard greens yet until he started to complain about the butter beans and collard greens being under cooked. No big deal. I open the Togo box dish out more food to re cook hoping that would work. BEFORE I put the spoon down on the plate I noticed this large piece of plastic. I'm sure an employee would recognize what it is and or where it came for. Possibly packaging of some sort. By that point I was over it and very disappointed. Waisted $26 on this trash bound food and now I have a 76yr old elderly hangry neighbor... The worst part is this review will probably go unnoticed and I don't have 26 to spend in the first place but for someone in need I wouldn't think twice. Try to help someone, try to do something nice. It's not the end of the world and if it was for me I wouldn't be bothered as much. I expected better from this place. Better quality and higher standards. My advice DO NOT SETTLE FOR DELIVERY/ UBER EATS. PICK UP YOUR ORDER SO YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT BEFORE YOU WAIST MONEY AND...
Read moreThe ambiance was very nice. We attended at lunch & was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and menu items. There's lots to choose from and something for everyone. It is a cafeteria style line setup, but the food is spectacular. Served on blue-speckle plates, you can choose a meat & three sides, or more or less. Or, a side-only meal. I'd recommend that for vegetarians. The drink variety is a bonus. I highly recommend the fruit tea & There's wine tasting at the bar. There's no reservations unless you require a party of 20 or more. The seating inside is nice and spacious, but the seating outside has quite the view. Did I mention the prices are...
Read moreMediocre food not kept hot. Zero service as it is cafeteria style. Fine if you know that in advance. Very expensive for the lukewarm food. Would suggest Loveless Cafe for catfish instead of here. Husband's fried chicken lukewarm & cooked too long. Terribly dry pancake style cornbread. **update 8/20/2025 We decided to give this another try. We had the exact same experience with lukewarm overcooked food. We paid. We tried to eat it. We couldn't. We got a refund. Very...
