I’ve ordered from here about 10 times so far within 2 month. And every time I ordered, the first thing that came up to my mind is that this place is def overpriced. Today I ordered my food through phone ,the man told me almost 10-20min,I drive to there more than 22min (google map told me lol) I went to the restaurant, one girl told me need 5min to wait so I wanna go back my car. When I opened the door, she told me “wait, You can pay bill at first” Therefore, I went back and paid the bill. During paying the bill, their machine has some problems,I paid twice.I might thought it was almost 3mins and I only need to wait for 2 more min. Hence, I stood in there and wait at least 5min and still not got my food. The girl told me wait in reception desk. I wait for more than 5min again, one man came and told me leave there????So funny. I said you guys told me 10-20min and I came wait about 20min and let me wait in there and there. At first time,I wanted to back my car you guy s told me about 5min and paid the bill at first. I understood and respected your busy and poor kitchen process. It’s so rediculous the guy said “I told in phone about 20-25min to wait”.I laughed I drive to here more than 22min and wait about 20min.The guy has bad manners and is very rude.Every step I followed their words but their words always betrayed the logic. Waiter has extremely bad manners. 2.their timeline is poor and never be punctual 3.food is def overpriced And their Korean style fried chicken is one of the worst I have tried. I suggested to eat Bonchon(it is a little far away from here lol) 5.by the way tried mama budae jjigae many times and was great. I have tried so many Korean restaurants. place is overpriced compared to their food quantity. Overall, one restaurant has no good rule to control their process, waiters and can not be punctual with liar in there. Can we trust them give us clean...
Read moreReally bad service. Rude, made to wait on the table for just ramen for an hour and got dumped with a check and asked to leave because we were in the restaurant too long waiting for them to make our food. Yeah you heard me right..I will give you a moment to make sense of that sentence. Literally ate for 10 min and the rest 50 min was waiting on a shin ramen ( instant noodles) of $16. Was still hungry from that shin ramen and asked for a kimbab. Got turned down on the kimbab from the very rude waiter because his excuse was that we spent too much time waiting on our food to be cooked. (kimbab doesn’t even need cooking) Blaming their inability to bring any food out on customers. Other people in the restaurant spent hour waiting for their food and got impatient also. There were starving people left, right, inside and outside except for one lucky table. There was an uber driver waiting for over 15 min when his order was underneath the main table for entire time and no one gave it to him.The owner lady is nice though, she saw everything happen in front of her and tried to make things better. She gave our kimbab order quickly after the waiter failed to keep things in check. The lady can run her restaurant by herself, she is the gold. They need to lay off the waiter or else they will lose money. Worst and most disrespectful place eaten so far in WA state and probably my entire life in America. You are better off eating McDonalds than coming here and having a bad impression forever on beautiful Korean cuisine ( if it is your first time for...
Read moreIt’s deeply disappointing to write this review about Mama’s Kitchen in Bellevue, a place I had hoped would be welcoming and inclusive. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but that.
During my visit, I noticed that the service was noticeably different for people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community, especially those who appeared to be lesbian. Despite arriving before other patrons, I waited significantly longer to be served. The staff seemed uninterested in assisting me, offering minimal interaction and even ignoring me at times. When I finally received my order, the quality of the food was subpar compared to what I observed being served to others.
It was clear that other patrons who did not fit into these marginalized groups were receiving attentive and friendly service, making the discriminatory treatment even more blatant. This experience left me feeling unwelcome and devalued as a customer, and it’s heartbreaking to see such behavior in a place that should be warm and inclusive.
I hope the management of Mama’s Kitchen takes serious steps to address these issues, ensuring that all customers, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone who values equality and...
