I would give negative stars if I could. My husband and I were not happy at all. The location at 96th and L is so much fresher food. We both got really sick about an hour or so after we left and my husband was really sick for 2 full daya where I was just 1. I didnt eat half my plate and he scarfed his down because we hadnt eaten all day and it was 8 pm. But i stopped eating mine because I started feeling queezy more and more with each bite. Im thinking the salsa on the table was bad but beans were so dried and old they were burnt clumps. We also took our 15 month old grandson. Nothing but ice cream for little ones and that had strips of paper in it thank God I saw it before serving him his bite. It was a long strand and he could have choked. I know mexican food as i cooked it for 14 years for my ex's family and this was not good at all. Salsa was bitter and really salty and hot. Not spicy hot but temp hot. We both have still retained upset stomachs since eating here. We were not happy at all. It was soooo utterly disappointing. I would recommend if you want Mexican drive down the street to Netties. Its authentic, fresh made daily and affordable for comparison. They taught me while i lived next door how to cook some things i was cooking wrong. Great food and you wont get sick. Over all probably the worst rating Ive ever given or thought about giving a place other thanone hotel we stayed at in Nashville once. Just very sad we both are going to the doctors this week as our stomach pains have not gone away and are only getting worse since eating here. Service itself was okay though. Polite...
Read moreMy significant other and I have visited Romeos in Bellevue for years. Always loved it.. unfortunately tonight really had us bummed. We ordered as soon as we sat down. (After their rush time when it was slower) An older lady serving us interrupted me when I ordered my 3 children strawberry daiquiris with NO alcohol ofcourse (that’s just how I’ve always ordered them) before I could even finish my sentence of what I was asking for she said “Oh you can not give them alcohol! They are children and we call them strawberry smoothies!!” Okay right.. that is what I was trying to explain, I have just always order them as daiquiris just with no alcohol.. either way they are the same 🤦🏻♀️ we ordered our food and waited and waited.. also waited to see if our server would kindly get us another refill later on but she never came.. I was a server myself for a few years and always try to be empathetic/understanding and definitely don’t like when people think they are entitled lol but just a little kindness letting us know hey sorry for the wait can I get you a refill really goes a long ways..never dropping in to let us know that we weren't forgotten would have been awesome. An hour later when our food arrived it was as if the pizza had been sitting in back, unfortunately.. but the rest seemed good.. we ended up having everything just To-Go and put in boxes. Really hope this is just a fluke thing but super...
Read moreDecided on MexicanAmerican (one word right?) tonight and visited Romeos. Arrived and got seated next to a large table of 12-15. Can you predict the rest? It's likely, and you'd be correct! We ordered without incident and even got the food in a timely manner. I even received a refill. And that was it. No service after that whatsoever. We had to ask and retrieve to go boxes, our bill and felt captive (sans chains, cage and assorted requisite paraphernalia) until the bill arrived. We didn't even have the opportunity to mention that the onions were hotter than expected. The bill finally arrived with a predictable I'm sorry I had issues with the large table. I get that; I've worked in the food service industry though wondered more than once (while waiting for the bill, wny semblance of service) why it was that someone else couldn't assist in even the smallest of manner. Not the most enticing and happiest of visits when we've always had the best of luck before. The manager in this instance however emphasized with our situation. He said sorry, and I believed he actually meant it, but we still paid full price and left wondering how long it will he...
