Sorry, if I could give a zero I would. So my wife and I stop in the Village Inn restaurant in Bellevue Ne. with our two young grandchildren on Sept 15 at 2:00, in the afternoon, the morning rush was long over and only two people in the place. First thing I notice is a table full of dirty dishes and glasses still sitting on a table from the morning, I mean like they bussed some tables and just left them on a table, and the floors where full of spilt food. The hostess did not even over us a booster or a high chair for our grandchildren we retrieved them ourselves, they where sticky and who knows when the last time they where wiped down. All the hostess did the whole time we where there is sit at a table an mess with her phone and eat. I got to the restroom to wash up, paper towels all over, the place was a mess, I could see if there where busy but they where not, they had plenty of time to touch up the restrooms after the morning rush, I am saying to myself what is the kitchen like if the rest of the place is a mess, upon walking past the kitchen I could see everybody is hanging out in the kitchen like it was a party, including some guy with shoulder length hair that was surly not a employee, as far as I could see no one was wearing a hair net. Upon seeing this I chose not to get nothing other than ice tea. My wife opted for the BLT, to no surprise to me, upon arrival a gross long blond hair hanging out of the sandwich, we all have dark hair so we where sure it wasn't ours. We sent the BLT back and opted not to get a replacement and asked it be taken off the bill. If these are franchised own, the owner better clean house. This also makes me apprehensive about visiting any other...
Read moreWhile previously we did have a great experience, I had to change the rating from 5 stara due to our experience tonight. Seemingly as punishment for coming in at 8:50 (when they don't close until 10) not only was our food disgusting, the service was bad too. Hostess was great and then from that point on things got very bad. Pancakes were made on a dirty grill and tasted like burnt hamburger and had burnt crumbs all over them. Hashbrowns had burnt chunks from the grill in them. They were inedible. Could hear workers screaming and yelling in the back. Unfortunately, we were all left wondering if our food was tampered with as it was clear that our food was made in the worst way possible and the proportions were laughable. Not sure if they dropped some food and then had to just divy up what was already cooked or what, but it was ridiculous. The fact that the waitress still served us the plates as they were was infuriating. If your cook doesn't want to work past a certain time or feels personally attacked by people coming in an hour before closing time, just close the restaraunt early. Adena was amazing during the day on our last trip but in all honesty whoever was cooking tonight shouldn't be allowed to cook for anyone ever. I absolutely would not recommend coming here at night ever. We won't be back at all. The bathrooms are so gross I made my daughter hold her pee until we got home Cant remember when we had a worse experience anywhere Would give 0 stars if it weren't for our previous good experience during the day time but please dont come here at night. Will absolutely never come back and really hoping we don't get sick from the...
Read moreJust left this typhoid haven of a restaurant. My 90 year old mother loved their key lime pie and it was the last thing she ate before passing away on 11/5. This morning, 11/9 my 90 year old father decided we should celebrate my mom with breakfast at Village Inn. My father, son and I arrived at 10:30 a.m. and was led to a table by General Manager, Jennifer Matthews. A couple finished eating at a booth next to our table and left. We were served our meal and were eating our breakfast when a man sat at the empty booth next to my 90 year old father. He was sneezing, coughing, wheezing openly without a mask, handkerchief, tissue to cover his face!!! It was obvious that he was sick. My son approached a server asking if they could move the man and she told him they could move us instead of the sick man. I told the server that we were seated first and she said ,"he comes in and seats himself and probably does not have Covid"!!! I asked for Jennifer who said she does not even have a mask requirement in the restaurant and cannot ask the man to move???? I told her that if any of the three of us get sick, I will call my attorney and file lawsuits for their ignorance to public health!!! No wonder Nebraska has 785 people in hospitals as of today...
