The last 3 or 4 years we've made reservations at The Ravine for our "Christmas Dinner". Our party is usually 12-15 people, one year it was 17. Our reservations are usually for noon or 3pm. The Ravine never disappoints, they're always very accomodating, ready to host & serve us. The staff is always friendly and the server never shows any sign of stress at the size of our party. The cook does an amazing job getting the various dishes made quickly and to the window timely, so the server can disperse them and we're able to eat at the same time. No one is ever waiting on their plate while the rest of us dive in. My only gripe would be on the Smothered Chicken; which is why I gave 4 stars both for Food and Overall. The Smothered Chicken could be a little juicier - maybe the mushrooms & peppers - in a sauce of some sort? The chicken isn't dry by any means, the entire dish is just missing something. But not enough to keep me away - I order it every year!!! Other items our party has ordered in the past (that I can recall)... Breaded Mushrooms, Cheese Curds, Pizza, Chicken Tenders w/ Fries, Chicken Wings, Quesadilla, Soup, Mashed Potatoes and Cheeseburger. Who doesn’t love going to a wedding and getting some delicious broasted chicken and all the fixings?! Well you don’t have to wait for that wedding invite to indulge anymore.
The Ravine has absolutely delicious broasted chicken served with choice of potato, dressing, coleslaw and a dinner roll served DAILY! All for $12.99!
I ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, and in case you’re wondering, yes you can order a soup bowl size of gravy if you wanted. The chicken came out piping hot and was so moist. The breading was a perfect thickness and was lightly seasoned. The mashed potatoes and stuffing are the classics that you get during a wedding. The coleslaw was like KFC’s which is a win in my book.
To drink, I had a whiskey old fashioned sweet which was perfection. It was muddled and strong!
The broasted chicken is on special along with their baked chicken (which is also so good…I had it at a wedding) on Sundays and Wednesdays for $11.99.

We ordered 2 shrimp plates through DoorDash. DoorDash waited a long time to pick up our order to be delivered a mile away. It was not DoorDash's fault. It's the restaurants fault. Yes, it's a Friday night and it's fish fry night but we are customers too and deserve our food in a reasonable amount of time just like they do in the restaurant This didn't happen. It seems they waited until the people in the restaurant got there food first and we were just the last to be served. This was an unacceptable amount of time. Probably won't order or go here again because of this. It's a shame too because they have really good food. I called and was told there's been a slight delay. This was more than a slight delay!!! Moving forward, I hope that The Ravine treats people that order food to be delivered are treated with more respect than we were this evening. Remember, WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS TOO!
