I was very excited to try this place based on all the high reviews. I ordered the Burntside Down and my partner got the Caprese. I found the Burntside down to be a little underwhelming, especially considering it was named after the food truck. The mozzarella and monterey jack were overwhelming and flavorless. I feel like using a sharp cheddar as the main cheese would’ve been a better move especially when pairing it with the candied bacon. I love when mozzarella helps make something extra cheesy, but it didn’t pair well in my opinion. My partner got the Caprese and when trying a bite it was incredible! There was so much flavor packed in. The tomato and balsamic gave it that extra kick I was looking for. Overall I’d say they make good grilled cheese. It’s worth checking out, but it probably won’t be an every week spot I go to visit. If it’s hot out prepare to sweat it out!

Love, love, LOVE Burnt Side Down! I love it when grilled cheese is spun on its head and their menu is chock-full of DELICIOUS options! Everything is on Avenue Bread (YUM) and I love that they have a couple of dessert items, too! 10/10 recommend their signature "Burnt Side Down" sandwich; it's easily my fave. Great atmosphere and phenomenal owners/staff. Plus, they're parked at Stemma Brewing, which is a fun brewery in the southern/central part of town just off the freeway, so you can snack a beer or super squeeze to pair with your sandwich of choice.

I had been here the previous week, told my older kids about the food, and they said, "Let's do dinner there when we get to town." And they loved the food, very much comfort food. Like a let's sit by the fire and enjoy our soup and grilled sandwiches kind of food. I will come back here every time for their food... I didn't take pictures of the food this time. I just dove right in... so I'm going to add the one from the week before. The best part is that they are parked right next to a Brewery that serves excellent beverages.

Title: Simply Irresistible!

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Burnt Side Down, an absolute gem of a food truck. Its specialty, grilled cheese sandwiches, will have you reminiscing about homemade comfort food with a gourmet twist. I ordered the namesake “Burnt Side Down” sandwich and it completely exceeded my expectations, with its perfect balance of crispiness and gooey, melted cheese.

The owners of Burnt Side Down are some of the most lovely and hospitable folks you’ll ever meet. Their passion for their craft is evident in every bite, adding that extra warmth to an already delicious experience. The love they put into their work helps make each visit memorable, and has left me eagerly anticipating my next.

If you’re searching for the epitome of comfort food on wheels, look no further. Burnt Side Down deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Can’t wait to come...

Every part of coming to BSD (by the way, SUCH a cute name- ask about its roots when you go ♄) is always such a fun and comforting experience. The “chalo” or cheese halo is incredible. The Gorgonzola is probably our favorite with the Send it coming in a close second. It’s permanently parked at Stemma, which is truly one of the best breweries around with lots of both indoor and outdoor seating and both dog and kid friendly. They’ve thought of everything at the stand- coloring books, toys and sandwiches for kids, dog treats, soup to dip your sandwich in, pickles đŸ„’ you name it. The owners and staff are always having a great time listening to music and dressing up in different themes- you can tell they love people and that makes their sandwiches taste even better đŸ˜â™„ïž Great prices too, you can easily go as a group and spend tons less feeding a hungry crew.
