My husband and I stopped by for lunch and waited about 15 minutes and still no drinks or service. 2 other couples and a group of 5 came in during our wait and they were offered drinks and a menu. The people before us got the drinks, menus, and orders while we waited. The server knew we were waiting she knew where we were sitting. Even the people behind the sushi bar were nice enough to greet us and make us feel welcomed but the servers turned their backs to us and passed by us (we were sitting right in front of the desk in plain sight). After my husband pointed out that everyone was being served and taking care of before us we decided to leave. It was a shame. I heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it for myself. I suppose it is all because my husband and I weren't dressed in jeans and some rugged shirt. Everyone there was dressed as if they got out of school and havenāt slept all day. I havenāt got the slightest clue on why they would ignore us. Maybe our skin tone wasn't light enough even though we were born and raised here in America. My parents are Romanian and my husband family is Turkish. There was only one young girl that was charming and she at least spoke to us but she wasn't our server, unfortunately. I guess Iāll never know what their food tasted like. But if you dress properly and have dark skin you are not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen going here since 2009, and thought they were excellent. Last two visits however, have made me determined never to go there again. First bad experience couple of months ago, the teriyaki sauce tasted more like cheap gravy, and the broccoli dish I ordered, though the same size as usual, the majority of the broccoli was yellow and old, inedible. Thought maybe just a one time bad deal, but went there again recently, and was REALLY disappointed. Waited a long time just to get water, and waitress passed us up several times to run around to other clients. Ordered miso soup, and I was about 1/3 size of usual, served in a little sauce dish, ordered agadashi tofu, which usually comes in a soup bowl, with a sauce bowl of broth. This time, the tofu came in little sauce bowl, and sauce came in condiment dish, about 2 tbsp., and was predominantly sriracha sauce, which is not a component of the sauce. Also ordered a dish of broccoli, and instead of the usual dish, got a tiny little sauce dish with approximately 1/4 cup of broccoli, for the usual price of $6, probably 1/5 of the usual size the dish.
My opinion is, that if the quality, quantity and service are deteriorating at this speed, it wont be long before this restaurant is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI asked the waitress if I could talk to the kitchen staff about the tempura and she said they were too busy. I asked again and waited since there was only 3 tables being served. The young man refused to listen to me try to nicely tell him that the tempura potato was half raw and the thick batter on thick vegetable slices was doughy instead of thin and crispy. The fried items tasted like the fry oil needed to be changed. He swore at me four times with my family sitting at the table and he threatened to call police. He swore at me again when I politely requested a few dollars be deducted from my bill for the raw tempura. He said that is too bad he refused a discount and showed me his phone with 911 dialing. His parents or grandparents came out of the kitchen to talk to me about the tempura and I told them if the police arrive I would tell them about the young man swearing and being disrespectfully verbally abusive. He hung up the 911 call when told to by his parents. I received the discount and I paid. The waitress said the tempura is always cooked that way. These are new owners as of three years ago. My family went to this restaurant for 25 years and the food used to be very good with...
