I don't often write reviews, but feel absolutely compelled to after my experience today at the Barkley Village MOD Pizza. They went above and beyond for great customer service! I had placed an online order for my lunch during a busy work day (or so I had thought), but when I arrived just ahead of my scheduled pick up time, my order was not in the system. With sincere apologies by the Lead Staff, and checking multiple times, my order needed to be replaced. (Technology errors, I didn't blame them!). Instead of going to the back of the very long line, she quickly took my order and had my pizza made quickly and thrown in the oven. I felt that was great and waited about 5 minutes for my pizza to cook. If that wasn't enough, when my pizza came out and the same staff member was slicing it quickly, she nearly slid off the box and cut her hand. Thankfully she was ok! However, she was most concerned that she wrecked my pizza (sloshing the topping off a portion of it) and said she would immediately re-make it. I told her it was absolutely fine and to please not remake it. Who doesn't mind a little messy cheese and toppings on their pizza, right?! We all have those days. Well, apparently out of gratitude that I didn't have the pizza remade, I was offered a Free Pizza certificate on my next order. This was above and beyond in customer service and I want MOD to recognize the great staff they have at this location! I am always pleased with the service and quality of food, but today (when it started to go sideways according to some) they more than corrected path. Thank you for your awesomeness!! You can bet I will be back,...
Read moreCame here after a long day at work, once I stepped inside I could see just how messy it was. Cross contamination all over the food service bar, I noticed one worker wasn't changing gloves between salads/pizzas, and the overall team looked as if it lacked much needed structure.
Tables were disgusting, I was lucky to find one table that was decent. I had also taken note of one worker in particular that looked like they were trying their best to keep the place looking nice and well presented, but kept getting passive aggressive remarks from who I can assume was the "manager", like, if they cared that much they wouldn't be standing around barking orders.
That same worker had also made one small mistake and was named out as an example in front of the entire store, like, pointed at, yelled at, and humiliated in front of everyone. That is highly inappropriate and honestly sickening.
I had managed to speak with this worker and found out this location doesn't follow basic labor laws (EX. Ensuring each employee gets a state required rest break per every 3 hours of work)
Will never be returning to this location, the only reason why I stuck around so long was because I was waiting for a friend. I would encourage anyone looking for a quick bite to eat to do so at literally...
Read moreThe pizza is great, service was quick. All the employees making the pizza were awesome and courteous, however the employee who takes the pizza out and does the finishing sauces was very impatient and rude. She was rude to my friend when she had a question about her pizza, and then she was rude when I came up to get my pizza. I couldn’t hear her because it was a loud environment and I don’t process sounds easily, so I asked her if she had said my name, and she seemed very frustrated that I had to ask her to repeat herself when she asked if I wanted finishing sauces. Then when I came up to ask for a to-go box, without looking at me she had said “sup?” As in, “what’s up” but abbreviated, but of course I didn’t hear that, so I just stood there for a minute. So then she said “I said what’s up!” And then I was able to get the boxes.
I understand that they were busy, but it’s a loud environment, and not everyone can process sounds the same way. Everyone else working there was kind and patient, and had no problems repeating themselves when I asked. I think this employee was just having a bad day, or maybe they are just tired of customer service. Pizza was...
