I used to eat at this location fairly often, and sometimes also at the one in Barkley Village. My last few visits to the Harris Ave. location have convinced me that I won't go back. The service my date and I received at my last visit was very poor. The server (owner?) brusquely walked in the general directions of some tables, didn't even say where to sit and just simply walked away. We asked if we could sit at the table we were next to and he just slapped some menus down.
The young woman who brought our water was equally rude, frowning aggressively and answering with terse one-word answers. My date asked her part way through the meal whether he could get more rice and she said "ask your server." She did end up bringing the rice and then when my date thanked her, she looked annoyed turned her back and walked off . I'm sorry, but the place was just not that busy. The food was okay, but I don't like to feel like I'm being punished for coming to visit a restaurant I used to like. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt but after several dinners, I conclude that the place is in decline and I won't be back to the...
Read moreDisclaimer, this was a delivery order through Uber Eats, but I've gotten thai food delivered before from other places and its never been an issue.
Absolute worst thai food i have ever had by a long mile. I got an order of pad see ew and chicken satay, a very standard order for pretty much any thai place I've been to. Each dish lacked any and all flavor. The noodles in the pad see ew were literally a pale white, so was the chicken, the brocolli was overcooked. The satay was a sickly yellowish green color, totally unappatizing, and again devoid of anything that might be considered a flavor. Complete sensory deprivation for your taste buds. Even the peanut sauce was watery. I have never seen a thai place manage to serve watery peanut sauce.
Just shameful. I would be embarassed to serve this food. Ownership should quit the restaurant business and start going to church to seek forgiveness for charging thirty dollars for...
Read moreMust have hit this place on a very bad night. 5:00, not a lot of people there. We Order pad thai, and chicken fried rice. 5:35 waitress tells us our order got lost but would be out soon. Only two waitresses on duty. Place is filling up. Our waitress is literally running around trying to get things done. Other waitress (with glasses on) is much more laid back, delivering food that is now coming out of the kitchen in droves. 5:50 our waitress tells us "soon!" Now we just want to see how this will end.... 6:00 I flag down man who appears to be the manager and tell him "1 hour!" He says "very soon". 6:10 two dishes are now sitting on the shelf from the kitchen waiting to be delivered. Our waitress is running around, not looking at the shlef. the other waitess sees them but pays no attention to them--must not have been her table's food... 6:15 we are...
