Fugaku Sushi — Restaurant in Bellingham

Finally, a sushi restaurant in Fairhaven. After losing Wasabi and Osaka, Bellingham has been lacking in good sushi that doesn't use farmed fish. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, making it hard to believe it was ever a record shop! The eel, salmon, tuna, shrimp and octopus nigiri was delicious. I don't normally care for eel, but this was something I'd order again. We also ordered the burdock salad and I don't know what kind of witchcraft they used to make burdock taste like noodles, but it was soooo good. The miso soup and house salad were delicious as well. Super excited to go back and try the ramen. We plan on making this a regular dining spot for sure. The service was excellent too and they were so nice. Definitely the #1 spot for sushi in...

Take out only option on 03/01/23!! Awesome! Thanks for continuing to be safe! The food is awesome! I had the Vegetable Ramen with Pork added. The extra pork was a bit pricey for the two small slices but overall the meal is filling with egg, ramen, miso, and fresh veggies!! I also had Hamachi King Sushi. The sushi is well made and good! I would order w/o green onions as it was too strong for me. I also got Edamame. It seems to be a trend to not salt Edamame like it used to be. Having only had their nigiri and rolls so far, I'm excited to try out the ramen and other options. Each time I go to order these, memories of how truly exceptional the sushi was have overpowered my urge to branch out.
