Disrespectful Employee Behavior – Deeply Disappointed.
Last Monday, my wife and I ordered a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino and a Caramel Macchiato through the Starbucks app. When we arrived to pick up our drinks, I politely asked a female employee for a thick straw, which was behind the counter. I have difficulty drinking Frappuccinos with regular thin straws because the cookie crumbles often get stuck.
As the employee was handing me the straw, a male employee named Allen abruptly stepped in, took the straw from my hands, and told both of us that those straws were only for bubble tea drinks. His tone and behavior were uncalled for and made me feel humiliated. While I chose not to confront him in the moment, when I got back home I immediately reported the incident to Starbucks’ Ethics & Compliance Helpline and was given a case number.
To Starbucks’ credit, the regional manager contacted me a few hours later to apologize and confirmed that there is no policy restricting thick straw use to bubble tea. She made it clear that Allen’s behavior was inappropriate and does not align with the company’s values.
I don’t know what triggered Allen’s reaction — whether it was my accent, a bad day on his part, or something else — but regardless, no customer deserves to be treated in such a disrespectful way. As a long-time loyal customer, this experience was deeply disappointing and disheartening.
I sincerely hope Starbucks invests more in employee training to prevent incidents like this from happening to others. Unfortunately, I will never return to this...
Read moreI’ve never been spoken to SO POORLY by a worker in my life. I left this Starbucks shaking and in shock from the way I was treated...
I don’t recall his name, but I would strongly warn others about the older, gray-haired man working here. I had been sitting in the establishment all afternoon, enjoying a full meal and coffee, when this worker started his shift. When I went up to the counter and asked for the bathroom code (as a paying customer), he rudely told me it was for paying customers only. I pointed to my table showing what I had purchased, and he reluctantly gave me the code.
The WORST PART came next… While I was in the bathroom and recollecting myself from the rude interaction, I suddenly heard an aggressive, loud knock. When I opened the door, this same worker yelled that I had to get out because I had “exceeded my bathroom limitations.” Shocked, I asked what policy he was referring to. He claimed there was a “New” 8-minute maximum time for bathroom use. He again repeated that the restroom was “for paying customers only,” insinuating that I hadn’t paid at all. He even had his foot in the door and screamed at me to leave.
I have never been treated this way before. The behavior was unprofessional, hostile, and deeply inappropriate. No customer, especially one who has purchased food and drinks should be treated with such aggression and disrespect. This situation reflects extremely poorly on the establishment and this needs to...
Read moreEvery single time I come here they get my order wrong. 9 times out of 10 I go through the drive through and every time my order gets messed up. ALWAYS. This last time was my last straw. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt that it's always some fluke accident... But there has never been a time where it's been right. When I go to the ordering window I order my drink, making sure it is right on the screen because they have definitely forgot or didn't add the extras I wanted to my drink. After I double check I go to the window to get my drink. I pay grab my drink and drive forward so the line can keep moving. I sip my drink and notice it always taste wrong... I look at the label sticker and it's always either something i didn't order or they forget my extra shot, mess up my flavor, and even mess up what type of milk I wanted. I have given this location a chance multiple times and every time they get it wrong. I usually come with my boyfriend and his drink is always right but NEVER mine which is very...
