HOW DOES THIS HAVE 4.4 STARS!!!??? I'm not a food critic but this was so bad. Maybe good hearted people but that's not why I'm there. Reasons why: Ordered the large Wonton soup, the worst wonton soup I've ever had. It was simply wonton balls in a small bowl of sadness. The meat in the wontons looked strange and the soup was very bland. Ordered the beef and broccoli with pork fried rice. I'm not picky but when I tasted the beef it was very Gamey. Like it sat out raw for a while or was past due. My girlfriend agreed. My lady got almond chicken. The sauce was thick as pudding. The chicken tasted bad like it was sitting out raw for to long or was past due like my food. Got a fried egg roll, bite into it and the inside was red. Why is the inside red? Probably not a big deal though.
I promise you I'm not a food snob but it was bad. My lady felt bad that we hardly touched our food and wanted to box it for a homeless person but I reasoned that we do not want to anger the homeless community. I don't know if I was served an alley cat or a cow but I'm never going back. Read previous reviews about food...
Read moreDreadful meal!
My partner and I went here on a whim after both not eating here for a few years. The service was fine; nothing to write home about. The food however was horrible. We ordered a meal for 2 and received "fried rice" in the form of plain white rice soaked in soy sauce. No veggies or egg included with this rice.
The Mongolian beef we were served was like others have said "Gamey" and quite chewy, served on a crunchy bed of what was supposed to be bean sprouts? Maybe noodles? Either way it resembled Styrofoam.
The sweet and sour chicken was mediocre but better than anything else, which isn't saying much. Furthermore, I question their cleanliness and food safety as the waitress herself commented on one of our tea cups observing that it was dirty. She never followed through with bringing us a clean cup as she had proactively offered.
Honestly very disappointed! We will be going to Best Chopsticks next time instead. No idea how this place has so many stellar reviews. Probably bots. Spend your money elsewhere and spare...
Read moreAfter 20 years of dining here, I can confidently say that Panda Palace is the best Chinese restaurant in Whatcom County—hands down. In fact, it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, anywhere.
The lunch portions are a great value, and the dinner combos are incredibly generous—plenty to leave you full and still have leftovers for later.
Every dish is served hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the General Tso’s chicken or the fried rice—both are fantastic.
Most importantly, the staff—Bridgett, Jenny, Jade, and the rest of the team—are truly outstanding. They’re prompt, attentive, and always happy to recommend something you’ll love.
Thinking about eating here? Do it. You won’t regret it!
PS: Panda Palace offers multiple Vegan/Vegetarian options and can accommodate other modifications based on dietary needs or preferences.
I was NOT paid for this review. I simply love Panda Palace THAT much. Thank you to Jade, Jenny, Bridgett & the other staff for the 20 years of delicious meals and...
