Yummy Yummy — Restaurant in Bellmawr

We ordered for the first time this weekend and it was absolutely fabulous! Our appetizers were a Chinese pizza and Crab Rangoon. The Chinese pizza was the best one we've ever had, but as you will quickly see from this review, EVERYTHING was the best we ever had. The pizza was perfectly done with the tastiest dipping sauce. The crab Rangoon was next level. It was homemade and so freaking delicious. Best ever! For dinner we shared the vegetable lomein and general tso shrimp. Both were fantastic and let me say, usually everywhere around here loads up on unnecessary oil, but this wasn't. The container was filled with shrimp. Worth every single penny. Since moving to the area we've tried so many places for these dishes and although some were good, nothing compared to fresh and homemade deliciousness of Yummy Yummy. Our family used to order from Yummy Yummy all the time when we lived in Bellmawr, almost 25 years ago. We then moved and aren't as close anymore, and frequented another local oriental food establishment. After a disappointing experience there a few months ago we decided to return to the best chinese food we've had yet - Yummy Yummy. Amazingly, it's just as good as it was 25 years ago! Yummy Yummy is back to #1 on our list of oriental restaurants in the area. I highly recommend the Shrimp and Broccoli or the Chicken and Broccoli. Both the wonton soup and egg drop soup are excellent as well, and the pizza rolls are a favorite of ours. AND - this is the ONLY oriental restaurant I've come across that gives you free stuff with your order, without the customer having to ask for a coupon or a free item. Example - the other day there was a surprise free large General Tso's Chicken in our bag. The time prior to that, it was a free wonton soup. I can't say enough good stuff about this place. Having had a less-than-great experience at a Yummy Yummy in MA, I was a little hesitant to try this one. But I’m glad I did. The space was clean, well-lit, and had a welcoming feel—simple but not run-down, economical without feeling cheap.

The person at the counter took my order and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I stepped outside for a call, and when the food arrived, it looked fresh. The rice was moist, the pepper curry was flavorful and balanced, and they even included an egg roll, which was also tasty. While they had condiments available, the food stood well on its own.

After finishing my meal, I thanked them—and they thanked me back with such warmth that it was both funny and heartwarming. As someone visiting from out of town, this was a worthwhile stop. At the end of my trip…...
