Burgers! The all-American favourite classic! Nothing is better than biting into a big, juicy meat patty with all of you favourite toppings. Some of us like our burgers plain, and others like to create, well, an astonishing masterpiece of overwhelming flavour! Enter, Lucy's #7 Burger Bar! This restaurant is located in downtown Beloit in the classic town square type buildings, where they all share a side with another business. It is a beautiful four to five story brick building with a smooth black walled first floor that has red trimming all around and an American flag flying at the top. There is diagonal parking available in front of the restaurant as well as a large parking lot behind the group of buildings, all which appeared to be in great repair. The building, sidewalk, and street were all clear of debris as well, which adds to a sense of pride about their appearance. Upon entering through the brilliant red doors, you are swept off your feet with the immediate aroma of beef being cooked to perfection on a flattop grill. The interior was reminiscent of a well lit old timey 40s-50s bar with some modern innovations. The floor was a nice light wood with darker wooden tables and seats to accent it, all clean and not sticky. The bar offers a multitude of different beers and spirits keeping in tradition with their theme. The walls were not painted or covered, but were allowed to remain unscathed by modernism, showing off that beautiful brick design and color. There were a few TV's and very limited art hanging to help give off the era feeling. On a certain wall there is a mural of 'Lucy' that emulates 'Rosie the Riveter,' which absolutely does honor to the heritage behind the restaurant. They even include a backstory about Lucy and her WWII service as a nurse. Actual history with food; talk about feeding the body and mind! The overall décor and cleanliness of the restaurant was superb! Staff constantly wiped down surfaces and helped to bus tables of patrons. The restrooms are shared with another restaurant, but are clean, stocked, well lit, and don't have an offensive odor. The flattop grill is located about 15 feet from the entrance and is open, which grants everyone the opportunity to see their order being created. The interesting part is that when the cooks complete an order, they will announce the servers name to let them know that they have food to deliver, instead of letting it sit there under a heat lamp for an unknown amount of time. We were sat immediately and ordered shortly after. Our waitress, Ms. Calli, was fast, friendly, respectful, and not overbearing. They offer 'Wikki Stix' for children (to keep them preoccupied), which are bendable colourful wax-like sticks. They're really intriguing. Our order consisted of a chocolate shake, vanilla shake, kids mac and cheese, a Sammy Patty, and a Spicy Lucy. It's very rare that my children order more than one shake, but they each ordered two! For them to want more means that the shakes had to be amazing, which they obviously were! My wife ordered the Sammy Patty, demolished it, and then ordered one for the trip home. I ordered the Spicy Lucy and absolutely fell in love with it. The flavors from the pepper jack cheese stuffed burger mixed with the jalapenos; simply wonderful. Everything we ordered came with crispy fries and a pickle spear. They have you cut into your burgers upon arrival as well. This is to ensure that it is cooked thoroughly, so you can see the cheese ooze out of the burger, and also because its hot! The manager, Ms. Ellie, could also be seen interacting with both guests and staff. We had a wonderful conversation about the service and experience as well as how Lucy's #7 is a staple food for all burger lovers! The overall 'Price vs Quality vs Quantity' was amazing. The amount of food you receive is well worth the price compared to others and the quality is bar none! The next time we visit family in Wisconsin, we'll definitely be dropping by Lucy's #7 for more innovative...

Read moreEating at Lucy's #7 is way above average and don't complain about "the burger is too expensive" it's obvious that you didn't eat there. If you want to eat where there is a 'drive thru' at that restaurant, you Will pay less, but you won't get a great sit down meal and attentive waitstaff. I had a salad instead of fries, for an upcharge that was well worth it. Quality. Quality. Quality. My salad had ⅓ cup of cooked bacon on it! Yummy. I like blue cheese dressing, which I ordered. Real blue cheese crumbles on the salad. Diced Red (not pink) tomatoes made me smile. My first thought was how much care went into the presentation of All the food. Food just tastes better when it looks nice on the plate! The greens and crunchy iceberg lettuce didn't have 1 wilted speck anywhere. Heavy silverware, cloth napkin, Clean ketchup and condiment containers. Our smiling server checked back and brought a few paper napkins. You could tell he liked his job. My Wisconsinite burger had fried onions with bratwurst slices, topped with a nice beer-cheese sauce! Couldn't have been better. Never had that combination anywhere before. I was hungry and I love French onion soup which I ordered. I was cautioned that it was Hot, and it was Hot through the entire relaxed meal. The melted cheese was really thick and they didn't skimp on the onions, just loaded. We were brought left over carry out containers (which are heavy paper like=recyclable, nice) without asking for them. I had the leftovers for lunch today, I'm thinking I can say today's...
