I love a good neighborhood breakfast burrito and see this place as having so much potential with the super friendly people, casual and quick pickup, and overall vibe, but was quite disappointed by the actual burrito part. From the other reviews, there are clearly a mix of preferences out there; some love it, others hate it.
After giving two burritos a try (chorizo and original), both were similar in the fact that they’re a very soft scramble consistency (matched many of the photos and a couple other reviews). This is what I’m prepared for in a typical frozen microwave burrito, but not what I’m expecting from a $10+ one like this. I could only make it through half of one before stopping. The other half fried up in a pan ok the next day, but it was still hard to get past the mushy consistency.
From my own experience and preference, a soft scramble is wonderful with a nice piece of crispy toast, but does not belong in a burrito wrapped in an equally soft tortilla.
If you like that kind of burrito, you’ll love these. For my own preference, I cannot recommend and will not try again unless I hear of...
Read moreThe person behind the counter was super nice but the burrito was pretty awful. I was done after two bites. I immediately felt sick. I don't know about all the other 5 star reviews, not the way I wanted to start the day before a hike. There is a similar review like this with a response that the person came off as snarky and flippant so I hope I don't come off that way. I honestly didn't think of going back in for a refund because one, I don't want to turn around and drive back for that and I don't want to subject myself and the person behind the cart to the potential embarrassment. It was a bad burrito. It was a bad 12 dollar burrito. It was a bad 12 dollar burrito that at best tasted like it was of...
Read moreIf I could give it 2.5 stars, I would. For me, that means bang average. I had the chorizo burrito and it satisfied a craving, but nothing more. The burritos are pre-made, and they taste like it. For $10, it’s definitely not the best value in town either. It had decent flavor, but I wasn’t even really able to pick out the chorizo from the eggs. It was all just kind of one mushy substance in a tortilla. I do feel bad writing an overall negative review, but I do think there are at least a half dozen other better places in town. I want my food to be made fresh at a minimum, and with some passion and love of the craft at a maximum. This did not deliver on either of...
