The Cross-Eyed Cricket Watering Hole — Restaurant in Bend

My experience here was not like I thought it was going to be. They do have a pretty decent size dance floor for line dancing and swing, but some nights you'll find the person in charge of music turning it into a club instead of making it to where it is suppose to be line dancing! There is also a song request board that you can request songs and when I went there was a lot of songs put up, but then 20 minutes later someone erased all the songs and wrote there name big on the board. Would I recommend this place as a safe environment, I mean I would like to but it doesn't seem like security knows how to control people's behavior at this bar, or walk around to keep an eye on things happening here.

If you want to line dance, this place is a hit or miss because one night you may have line dancing or one night you might just walk into a club environment! Take your pick, Overall I wouldn't recommend this place for anything...

I’m not even exaggerating—this place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is electric. The staff? Cooler than the other side of the pillow. Friendly, funny, fast, and genuinely happy you’re there. They make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

Went here to try it out the new restaurant the family. They did a super good job of updating how it looks inside, the food menu is simple chicken and burgers, you order yourself and pick your own table to eat at. The food came out fast, everyone enjoyed it, good sauces, meat cooked right. The cole slaw has a nice kick to it (came with the chicken Sando) and the baked beans were amazing. It’s about average priced for Bend. There is however no kids items at this time; maybe in the future? but honestly I think this isn’t really a family friendly pub type of place like Sunriver or Deschutes. Definitely save this place for a date without the kids. I had to have my 1 year old sit on my lap as there was no available high chairs.
