Not very friendly. My dad and I ordered the Bloody Mary and it's supposed to come with a skewer of cheese, meet and veggies. When the server got back with the Mary's there was just a single sad olive garnish. She apologized and said they ran out of the skewers really fast that day. Then she said "I guess I could try and make you one... When I get time...". I said yes please that would be great as it was half the reason I ordered that drink. Fast forward almost one hour and I'm still waiting on the skewers and our food as well. Now it's Sunday and it's relatively busy. However they were well staffed with 6 or 7 employees and not a single one of them was moving around with any haste. So not grabbing a stick and poking a cube of cheese, a cube of meat, and a couple of pickles for an HOUR is ridiculous. I know exactly how many SECONDS it takes to make garnishes for Bloody Mary's. Take a look at the picture and imagine how long that would take to put together. She did finally bring it after an hour, of course I'm done with my drink at that point. But I do believe that is why she waited so long, to punish me for asking for the garnish that should have come in the first place. Now let's talk food. When that finally arrived, shortly after the longest Bloody Mary skewer in history, it was all terrible. The hash browns on all 3 plates of food were raw and cold (my plate is pictured). Notice the lack of color on the hash browns plus everything was cold. My boyfriend's bacon was cooked so much that it actually shattered into tiny pieces when he touched it. Of course when we pointed these things out it wasn't received well. She did bring out another tiny plate of slightly more cooked hash browns. Enough for a half order not three like we had at the table. Just overall really terrible experience and will NEVER GO BACK. You...
Read moreThey are good about letting groups of people use their back room for various events. For instance they have a ukulele group that gets together there every week for a jam session. I used to go to these and there were about 40-50 people there every week! Of course the bar made money by selling the attendees drinks and food but still, there aren't any other bars in Bend that I know of that would be willing to accommodate groups this large on a regular basis. My motorcycle club also uses this back room for our monthly meetings once a month for an hour or so and I'm sure there are many other events held in this room. That being said, the main bar isn't terribly big, they have several TV's behind the bar showing assorted sports. It strikes me as a bit of a dive bar. Not as large of a selection of microbrews as other local bars. No pool tables (no room for any), the whole layout of the bar is strange, with the back room really separate from the rest of the bar, and seemingly bigger than the main room as well. Anyway, I'm not really someone that goes to bars anyway, I'm definitely a...
Read moreThis was my first visit. Arrived by motorcycle, so parking was easy. This place is a business within a business style access. I'd say it's a nice, clean, off the beaten path little neighborhood hole in the wall. Decor & ambiance are pleasing, IF you're an Oregon Ducks Fan. I'm a self proclaimed Platypus, so neutral impression. Lotto "Pen" aka "Den", is well lit & clean, with space to move. You're not tucked away like a dirty secret, so to speak. wink I ordered the Club & Tots, with Cheddar instead of Swiss, and took my ham on the Side (snack for later 😉). This sandwich was delicious! Thick, perfectly crisp bacon, great meat, cheese, bread & "sauce" = Rich flavor, delicious even as leftovers. Only "downside" was the lack of consideration regarding ice tea order. Good service in this area calls for inquiry regarding sugar & lemon options. Prices were bordering a bit high, for lunch on a weekday. Overall, happy customers that...
