*Update- I finally went back to try the food. Went in at open on Sunday morning to get some breakfast. Service was decent at first, but once the food arrived things went downhill. My boyfriend ordered French toast and there was a hair in his butter. He just pulled it out and decided to ignore that and had his first bite. It was cold so we let the server know and sent it back. She was apologetic and said the kitchen cooked it too early compared to the rest of our order, so it just sat for a while. I ordered an omelet and home fries. It was pretty good and I was enjoying my meal. I got about halfway done when I found a small plastic tie in my potatoes. So we of course let the server know. We said that the kitchen just wasn't doing a great job today. Her response was what really galls me. She said, oh it's not us (the Hideaway), normally we do fine, it's just you guys. What the hell kind of response is that? Out food had hair, plastic and was cold. How could that possibly be our fault? All that was required was an apology and some kind of explanation that this isn't typical please try us again another time.
**(My original review)I went on a busy Saturday night. Place was packed. I just stopped in for a couple beers. I looked at the menu for food for another time. It seems a little pricey, but judging by how busy it was it looks like it's probably worth it. I'll be going back to check out the food sometime. The server was nice and friendly. I'll update my rating after I try...
Read moreJeez...where to begin. Showed up Saturday evening for the UFC. Prelims were on and it was trending toward a good evening.... Early prelims end and the fights rotate from ESPN to ABC before the main card begins. Well, the staff was clueless to this transition and were irritated if you brought this to their attention. Customer were left looking at each other wondering what was going on. Bartender then began to loudly complain about hosting the UFC and the crowd that comes with the event. Finally, they get it together and things are looking up....but, the service was terrible. Terrible. The waitress would continually take our drink order, and not come back with drinks. Then she would become irritated with us when we would reminder her of the fact that we already ordered...and nothing was delivered. Then we would go 30 - 40min without a beer. Ordered a chicken sandwich and ask for it served as a wrap....it looked like a microwaved burrito. Servers were continually on their phones and couldn't be bothered.... Bartender made a big production of delivering and counting out my poker winnings in front of a bar full of strangers. It's my experience to be discreet when handling large amounts of money. So, we tipped the staff well as a jester that we will never return to this establishment...our money is better...
Read moreThe food was delicious! But......there was a large group of us. We ordered a couple of pitchers of beer, two pizza's and an appetizer. When the pizza came we asked for a small side of ranch to go with it, which we always do and it's no big deal. We got our check and were charged $1.00 for two very small sides of ranch. Mind you, this is after we're spending close to $100 on food and beer already. I paid the bill and left a note with my feedback on how disappointing it was that they felt they had to charge me for ranch with my pizza, considering we were spending plenty of money already. Had the waitress told me they would charge us, I would have said something then. But she didn't. We left and were in the parking lot saying our goodbyes to each other, when the waitress felt it was appropriate to come out to the parking lot and tell us that the kitchen staff makes those prices and that the next time we "should have more information." More info? What does that even mean? Being our waitress, isn't she our info? I know this sounds petty, and it is. It's absurd. But it was extremely unprofessional and if I could take back my tip, I'd have left none. I won't be returning anytime soon and will share this ranch story with anybody that...
