I live in Portland and ordered a Birthday cake for my daughter who lives in Bend. I ordered it early as it was a delivery. My order was cancelled and the first person who actually spoke to me was the Door dash delivery person who was very nice and explained that he’d waited there for 30 minutes and was told they didn’t have my order. Several calls and emails later as well as a snarky girl asking if I wanted to order $70 worth of pastries as there were no other cakes available. I was being extremely flexible, and communicated that I’d do whatever worked. I’d already been charged $77.00 and was also told that the owner Shelbi would have to Ok a refund. I was also told that Shelbi was in town and would call me. She never called. She finally answered an email, and said a baker could make the cake the next day. My daughter finally got her birthday cake the next day, but the Unicorn Cake looked nothing like the picture on the website. Never received an apology, phone call to follow up, alternative when my order hadn’t been made. A lot of blame to the third party delivery and website. Customer service lacking in every way, and no responsibility. I was even told the little Birthday card would be extra. Again I said sure, since there was clearly not going to be any resolution. Shelbi and staff certainly didn’t go out of their way or care. I realize it was a birthday cake, not the end of the world but Shelbi and...
Read morePreordered a cake for a birthday 12 days prior to the date, and I was charged in full on the website at that time. The morning of the birthday and the date of the scheduled order, the shop suddenly cancelled. I found out about the cancellation via a DoorDash app notification. When I called the shop to find out what happened, I still didn't find out what happened. The person who answered didn't ask me my name, didn't try to understand anything about my order, didn't apologize... basically, didn't do anything you would consider typical of customer service. Instead, this person launched into a long-winded speech about DoorDash not working with their tablet, that all orders need to come up on their tablet if they're going to be delivered, that if people want DoorDash orders, they need to "not go through DoorDash" but through their site. Crazy, considering I did order through their website with 12 days of lead time, not through DoorDash. The person said the cake hadn't been made and said that if I wanted to order a cake, that I'd need to reorder. Based on that conversation, I quickly concluded they have no idea what they're doing there. Buyer beware if you try to order off their website. Took my money, left me hanging, did not make a birthday cake for my friend, 100%...
Read moreI am really disappointed. I first called and wanting cupcakes for my daughter’s graduation and the girls gave me the email to email. I emailed asking for what I needed. I called the next day to get information of how long it takes to get response so I was aware as I forgot to asked the question. The girls gave asked her team mates they said 24 to 48 hrs and the girl stated “ if you don’t hear anything please call me and I can take the order and talk to the Pasteur chef” I called today, as I heard nothing and the gal I talked to stated she was the manger and could not help me and to follow up with the email. The regular pastry chef is in maturity leave. I was staying on top of this due to her party is in 2 weeks and they needed a two week notice. I told them very respectfully that I will just go somewhere else. I am really disappointed of the professionalism and disposing of the lack of communication between the team. I am more disappointed with the Manager as she is the face of the business and could have helped and was rude and should not be in the position at all.
Off to find a bakery for my...
