Do not ever go here if you want authentic mexican. this was the worst mexican i’ve ever had and the first place in bend me and my gf tried, we got the nachos and a quesadilla. I’ll start with the nachos, 1. it was actually nacho cheese sauce that taco bell uses and doesn’t even make sense how this is considered “authentic” 2. it doesn’t come with any beans which it said it did and anytime we’ve got authentic nachos it always has. 3. the guacamole was like liquid and had no taste to it which i don’t even get how it gets to that texture and isn’t thick, it really seemed watered down. Quesadilla, was the most bland quesadilla i’ve ever had. 1. it had no beans or rice (which again said it came with beans). 2. it tasted like they didn’t even season the meat in any way. 3. it was maybe half full, i had mostly just tortilla and had to fold all the pieces over just to eat it normally bc it was so empty. 4. again the guacamole was horrible with this. 5. it came with mozzarella cheese which isn’t authentic either. I don’t understand how this is considered authentic mexican, it was the most bland and white washed “authentic mexican” we’ve ever had. I saw good reviews and decided to go here and im very disappointed and feel like whoever thinks this is good just has no taste buds or doesn’t know what authentic mexican is. 1.5 out of 5 stars (only a 1.5 bc i liked the...
Read moreA little confused by this lovely place. Came in 1 day, got some chicken tacos (since they didn't have any more asada) and they were some of the best tacos I have ever experienced....and I love tacos! These were made by the lady working and had been made with their fresh in house tortillas. Came in the next day for the same experience and was let down. This time they did have asada and when I got home w my tacos, noticed they used a small street taco that looks like it was from Safeway. Taste was bland and nothing like their home made tortillas. Super disappointed to say the least. At this point, I was willing to give it a 3rd try and upon ordering , I mentioned to the gentleman behind the counter that I wanted them to use their fresh tortillas. He looked confused, and I had to repeat myself a couple times and then he finally said that it would cost more....at this point I didn't really care, I just wanted some awesome tacos! And Ding Ding Ding! Got the same awesome tortillas from the first time.
This is why I'm confused, each time I had a different experience....no asada, different tortillas, and then upcharging...and if your a tortilla factory, why wouldn't you use those awesome tortillas on all your food? And yes, they sell the yummy tortillas too, bags of them are in the back...
Read moreI live in Mexico and my girlfriend is Mexican and the other reviews of this place are hilariously ignorant. Re: the guy talking about “authentic” Mexican nachos 🤣 and who can’t tell the difference between queso Oaxaca and mozzarella, and doesn’t know that queso Oaxaca is what they actually put on quesadillas in Mexico. Or the guy who doesn’t know how they cook and chop up the meat and that creates little pieces of cartilage that can sometimes look like little bones.
This place is legit and their tortillas are as good and real as any tortillería I’ve had in my years in Mexico. I’m actually kind of shocked by how good they are - it’s very rare to find corn tortillas this good here. The pollo rostizado feels straight out of my neighborhood and I haven’t tried all their food but the menu looks great and totally true to my experiences. My girlfriend who misses Atizapan de Zaragoza is excited to try more (though this place looks norteño). Un ladito de...
