JJ Coffee Co - South (Java Jungle) — Restaurant in Bend

Java jungle is the epitome of bad service! The "service worker" did not greet us on arrival. She was in deep conversation with another employee. We waited for her to finish, but the conversation just kept going on and on and on. Finally she pushed out a hello, looking awkwardly and deeply into my wife's eyes then immediately went back to her conversation. Not really knowing what to do, I just yelled my order over her non stop talking, because if I waited, she wasn't going to help us. The highlight of the experience was when she took our payment. She was sporting the grossest most fake nails I've ever seen. When she ripped the card out of my wife's hands, her scavanger talons touched the i pad and a bunch of other germ ridden things. She then prepared food without a second thought of washing her hands and claws. Which having fake nails, by the way, is completly illigal by Oregon Food and Safety standards.

If you’re going to be overpriced, at least have good customer service. All we want is a latte with extra ice. At any coffee establishment, if you order “light ice”, you get more milk. If you order “extra ice”, you get less milk. Every time we’ve tried to order extra ice we are rudely told we should order an americano instead. We’ve stated that we do NOT want water in our drink, but the barista cannot get that through her head LMAO. Regardless of whether we order a latte or “americano”, it’s still around $15 for two drinks. My girlfriend and I are both baristas and try to be polite by letting the barista speak her mind, but we are tired of the ridiculously poor customer service. All we want is extra ice lol. We will take our business somewhere where we won’t have to expect to argue with the barista every time we want extra ice...

I'm not picky when it comes to what I order but I drive out of my way to see the girls at Java! Hannah & Austyn hold a very special place for me but honorable mentions are obviously Steph and Dani! They all make a point to make sure I 'taste test' and are happy to adjust it if I'd like. And to me, it's not a huge deal if its slightly different depending on who makes it- still nummy! I also think they have super powers because of just the sheer amount of peoples orders that they know by memory is INCREDIBLE and how well they work under pressure with the rushes they get into because obviously everyone comes to their shop! Now we have a fun game where I dont even order & they surprise me with one of my favorite drinks- It really is the best start to my day! Thanks gals,...
