I have gone to King Buffet several times (20+) in the last four years. Every time I have gone I have been very impressed and satisfied!
The buffet may be smaller than some of the really large buffets you may be use to. However, they really make up for it in quality and variety. They have your usual Szechuan choices like beef and broccoli and Kung Pao chicken. To even freshly made suishi rolls in house next to the Mongolian grill and Dim Sum (by far my favorite entre here). There are also eggrolls, spring rolls, pot stickers and other variety of Chinese dishes that vary throughout the week and weekend. All of them wonderfully flavorful and delicious.
For some of you wierdos and stubborn youngsters, there is an option to not eat Chinese at a Chinese buffet. Such as pizza, macaroni and cheese, mixed romaine salad choices and a small assortment of dinner desserts including ice cream (vanilla, chocolate and sherbet).
The quality of the food is far better than your average buffet and the price is exceptional! 9.50$ or so for lunch and I believe 11.00$ for the dinner or weekend buffet (which has more selection and things such as beef ribs as an option).
The staff are wonderfully accommodating and enthusiastic to seat you and serve you drinks or anything else you may need (high chair or tables combined).
The interior and atmosphere is one of casual family dinner with assorted booths and tables. It is often quite busy with many patrons but you are still able to have dinner conversation with the people at your table. The dining area is quite large with a large TV on CNN in the corner on mute. While it could use mild rennovation, as the carpet and booths seem to be needing some attention and are showing some wear. However, the buffet tables, dishes, cutlery, and bowls are always immaculately clean, stocked and fresh. The entree area is kept refreshed and clean. The seating is still comfortable.
The bathrooms are always clean and stocked.
There is plenty of available parking that is right out front and more room nearby since the outlet mall parking is right next-door.
Good for you truck drivers and big rigs to come get a dinner. The on ramp for Hwy. 97 is just 1/2 mile away!
I wouldn’t leave such an extensive review if I do not believe that this was an exceptional buffet restaurant. I have come to this restaurant several times over a four-year period and never had a bad meal or experience.

Read moreThis post is long so first let me start by saying: PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE. Now, if you're in for the full read:
After finding our favorite local spot "Szechuan Restaurant" was closed, my girlfriend and I decided to finally check this place out last minute on a Monday night at 6:30 PM. We asked to take a look around before committing. The place seemed dingy and not very clean. I could tell right away the food was old and most of it looked to be sub-par quality even for a buffet. I didn't want to stay, but my girlfriend wanted to eat so I gave in.
The egg drop soup smelled and tasted like rotten eggs, the fried rice was bland and mushy, pot stickers were freezer burned, and most other items were overcooked, old, super salty or just plain nasty overall. I cannot believe they serve shellfish here too! One look at the "cheesy" mussel/clam on my girlfriends plate and I said "Please don't eat that!" It also appeared as though many of the food items were not kept properly heated.
We should have known better based on previous reviews we had read, but we thought maybe folks were just overreacting. NOPE! We both felt sick after leaving and regrettably paid almost $24 for this crap meal. Save your money (11.99 per person!) and go to a more reputable place in town such as Szechuan Restaurant or Chans. You WILL get better food, service, and atmosphere at a cheaper price. The ladies that worked there were nice enough and I'm sure they are just trying to run a business like anyone else. My concern is that someone could get very sick eating here. We will never again step foot in this...
